The embodiments comprises a protective tool cover having a proximate and distal end; an internal cavity continuing from the proximate to the distal end, the internal cavity being adapted to receive a jaw portion of a tool in order to enclose the jaw portion of the tool with the cover; and a portion of the cover connecting the proximate and distal end, positioned to interact with the jaw portion of the jaw of the tool.
