  • Publication number: 20240115446
Abstract: A remotely deployed, inflatable device designed to reduce or eliminate falls in senior living and assisted care facilities. Upon detecting undesired movement, nurses may deploy one or more inflatable cylinders, thereby inflating the device under one or both sides of the mattress, creating a barrier that prevents the resident from exiting the bed until on-site assistance arrives. It is envisioned that initially the operation of the device will rely on the remote monitoring of residents by one or more operators via live camera feeds. In more advanced versions it is envisioned that software and artificial intelligence will be able to use one or more camera feeds and will be able to supplement or even replace the need for a person to monitor any camera feeds.

  • Publication number: 20060062870
Abstract: System and apparatus for carrying out a thermoplastic material molding process wherein mutually abutting carriage conveyed clamshell molds are driven along a single track locus having vertically disposed tunnel forming and return region. Thermoplastic material is expressed vertically downwardly from a die nozzle located above the forming tunnel entrance elevation and with a diameter corresponding with but slightly less than the maximum diametric extent of a mold cavity within the mold sequence. Where a given mold cavity portion exhibits a minimum or zero cross dimension, the mold cavity is structured having an adjacent accommodation mold cavity portion of greater cross dimension.

  • Publication number: 20050106281
Abstract: Carriage assembly mounted molds are paired along a production system axis at a receiving region. Each carriage assembly is configured with an axially inwardly depending threaded connector nut configured to engage a translational screw moving the mold sets in registry about an extrusion die to establish a dynamic forming tunnel. Each mold of a mold set is configured having an internal mold cavity with mold crests spaced apart to define a sequence of vacuum support regions. A sequence of annular insert components are positioned over the vacuum support regions to form mold cavities and to define vacuum cavities.

  • Publication number: 20050106280
Abstract: Die apparatus configured for forming corrugated pipe from thermoplastic material in association with transported wall mold sets defining a wall forming tunnel. The apparatus employs two homogenizer stations, a first at its entrance for providing homogenized material to an outer wall delivery channel extending to an outer wall extrusion nozzle. Plastic material is delivered under pressure along a heated internally disposed extender pipe to a liner homogenizer stage located downstream and feeding a liner extrusion nozzle. An access region is made available between the outer wall extrusion nozzle and the liner extrusion nozzle.
