  • Patent number: 11986162
Abstract: An endoscope comprises a handle and a shaft with an optical housing at the distal end of the shaft enclosing a camera sensor positioned so that its optical axis is at an angle with respect to a rotational axis of the shaft. The camera sensor is rotatable with the shaft relative to a proximal housing of the handle. A rotation sensor in the handle detects the rotational angle of the camera sensor with respect to the proximal housing. A processor can correct the angular orientation of an image from the image sensor, converting of a rotating variable field of view to a translating variable field of view. A processor can apply variable smoothing of the rotation of the displayed image so that smoothing during rotational deceleration is greater than smoothing during rotational acceleration. The shaft may be enclosed in a trocar that allows for a space between the shaft and trocar that can be used to carry irrigation fluid to or from a space at the end of the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20240114635
Abstract: A circuit board cover having a housing having a first surface, a perimeter edge, a housing cavity partially defined by the first surface and the perimeter edge, a skirt extending from the perimeter edge away from the first surface in a first direction to partially define the housing cavity, and a plurality of ports disposed on the first surface. The housing cavity can be operable to house a printed circuit board. Each of the plurality of ports can include (i) a sidewall extending away from the first surface in a second direction opposite to the first direction, (ii) a port cavity partially defined by the sidewall, and (iii) one or more terminals disposed at least partially within the port cavity.

  • Patent number: 11931034
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes an anvil and an elongate channel. The elongate channel includes a plurality of first electrical contacts and a plurality of electrical connectors comprising a plurality of second electrical contacts, wherein the electrical connectors are spring-biased such that a gap is maintained between the first electrical contacts and the second electrical contacts. The surgical instrument further includes a staple cartridge releasably attachable to the elongate channel, wherein the staple cartridge has a cartridge body comprising a plurality of staple cavities, a plurality of staples deployable from the staple cavities into the tissue, and a plurality of third electrical contacts, wherein the attachment of the staple cartridge to the elongate channel moves the electrical connectors causing the second electrical contacts to bridge the gap and become electrically coupled to the first electrical contacts.

  • Patent number: 10614680
Abstract: A motion sensing cargo net assembly includes a netting having a perimeter edge and a central area. A housing is mounted on the netting and a control circuit is mounted in the housing. A power supply is electrically coupled to the control circuit. A motion sensor is mounted in the housing is electrically coupled to the control circuit and a speaker is electrically coupled to the control circuit. The speaker emits an audible alarm sound when the motion sensor is turned on and detects movement of the housing.
