Abstract: Dental pick brush apparatus includes a shaft with a toothpick portion at one end and a bristle portion at the other end. The bristle portion includes a ball secured to the shaft and relatively short bristles extending outwardly from the ball in virtually all directions. The relatively short bristles, and the directions at which they extend from the ball, are particularly adapted to clean between teeth and around braces secured to the teeth, from virtually any orientation of the brush apparatus and regardless of the proximity of the braces to the teeth.

Abstract: Hand grip apparatus for weightlifting bar includes a pair of double conical elements secured to the bar to compensate for the anatomical bone structure in the wrists to allow the bones of the hand to be substantially aligned with the bones in the forearm while doing press and curl weightlifting exercises.

Abstract: Movable jaw measuring apparatus usable for measuring widths across the flats of bolts includes a fixed jaw and a movable jaw, and reference marks for indicating the measurements may be in both inch and metric units. The movable jaws can also be used to measure the diameter of the bolts. Apparatus includes linear measurement indicia for measuring the length of various elements, also in both inch and metric units, if desired. Peripheral surfaces may include serrations for measuring the pitch of threads, or thread measuring indicia may be printed on surfaces.

Abstract: Exercise apparatus for the lifting of weights includes horizontal movement of a bar, and the movement of the horizontal bar is connected through mechanical linkage to weights which are lifted vertically. The mechanical linkage is illustrated in different embodiments, including pivoting levers, a combination of pivoting levers and cables and pulleys, and gears connected with a cable and a pulley. Two sets of the apparatus may be linked together for joint movement, as for example doing vertical pushups, or the two sets may be used separately, as for doing alternate exercises in which the arms and hands are alternated in horizontal movement.

Abstract: Exercise apparatus includes a pair of spaced apart discs journaled for rotation on a frame with adjustable tension elements for varying the force required to rotate the discs. Handles are used to rotate the discs and the handles may be secured to the discs at varying locations to vary the distance between the handles and the axis of rotation of the discs.

Abstract: Weightlifting glove apparatus is disclosed which includes a tapered wedge extending from the heel of the hand inwardly toward the inside of the palm for use in weightlifting when presses are used. The wedge allows the hand to be aligned relatively straight with the ulna and radius when pressing. Due to the bone structure of the wrist, without such wedge the hands of the weightlifter rotate inwardly so that excess pressure is placed on the radius bone in the forearm and on the muscles of the wrist and hand. The wedge in the glove raises a weightlifting bar a sufficient distance to allow the hand to remain aligned with the wrist and forearm bones to relieve excess strain which causes pain and which may cause sprains.
