    Abstract: A faceplate assembly includes a faceplate flange, a faceplate member and a sealing material, such as a glass frit, for sealing the faceplate member to the faceplate flange. Three gauging members, integral with the flange, are in contact with the faceplate member to ensure that the faceplate member is sealed parallel to the faceplate flange and at a predetermined distance therefrom.
