Abstract: A method of operating a power grid comprising a plurality of transmission zones is provided herein. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving zonal operational data and receiving zonal forecast data from a plurality of zonal controllers associated with the plurality of transmission zones. The method also includes determining a zonal adaptive policy for a transmission zone of the plurality of transmission zones based on the zonal operational data and the zonal forecast data. The zonal adaptive policy defines a rule for a zonal controller associated with the transmission zone in a normal mode of operation. The method further includes communicating the zonal adaptive policy to at least one of the plurality of zonal controllers and communicating an intervention command to the zonal controller associated with the transmission zone. The intervention command intervenes with the normal mode of operation and adjusts an operational parameter of the transmission zone.

Abstract: This invention relates in general to a portable work supporting and rotating apparatus for rotatable support of elongate workpieces of various diameters to be worked. The device having a longitudinally extending base frame with a fixed member and a movable member being disposed in generally parallel and spaced relation. A plurality of rollers are journaled on the fixed and movable members to rotatably support the elongated workpieces axially parallel to said rollers between the fixed and movable members. A means for moving the movable member in a transverse relationship with the fixed member is provided to increase or decrease a space between the fixed and movable members. A drive unit is operatively connected to one of the plurality of rollers permitting the workpiece to be rotated about a longitudinal axis.

Abstract: There is disclosed a paint application system. The paint application system comprises an applicator for applying paint to a surface to be painted and a supply unit in fluid communication with the application and having a positive pressure source for supplying paint to the applicator and a negative pressure source for supplying a negative pressure to the applicator. Both the paint and the negative pressure are supplied to the applicator at the same time such that any excess paint present at the applicator during the application of the paint to the surface to be painted is collected by the negative pressure at the applicator and removed from the applicator.

The system receives from a customer device a product key that identifies a product and a product region. The system identifies a customer region indicating where the customer device is located. The system authorizes the customer's access to the product unless the product region does not match the customer region and the blocking of access is confirmed by applying a blocking rule so that access to the product is authorized even though a cross-region access is suspected.

The spray head includes a casing formed with an opening to receive one end of the water hose and an outlet nozzle form which water under pressure can leave the housing. A hand operated valve is provided for selectively enabling or preventing the flow of water through the outlet nozzle.
