  • Publication number: 20220332202
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, systems, and methods for releas ably attaching a charging interface (that is coupled to an overhead cable) to a lower surface, thereby helping contribute to limiting unintended movement of the charging interface. In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes a releasable coupling. An upper interface is configured to secure a first end of the releasable coupling to an implement at an end of an overhead cable that extends downwardly from an overhead body. A lower interface is configured to releasably secure a second end of the releasable coupling to a lower surface. The lower interface is configured to release the second end of the releasable coupling responsive to a strain on the lower interface in excess of a release threshold.

  • Patent number: 11454119
Abstract: An internal core profile for a second stage turbine nozzle airfoil of a gas turbine is provided. The turbine nozzle may include an airfoil core having an uncoated nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y, and Z set forth in Table 1, wherein the X, Y, and Z coordinates are distances in inches measured in a Cartesian coordinate system, the corresponding X and Y coordinates, when connected by a smooth continuous arc, define one of a plurality of airfoil core profile sections at each Z distance, and the plurality of airfoil core profile sections, when joined together by smooth continuous arcs, define an airfoil core shape.

  • Publication number: 20220298928
Abstract: An airfoil for a gas turbine engine. The airfoil includes a unique cooling path for a coolant, routing the coolant through a cooling cavity, through a column of crossover passages and through a pin array near a trailing edge of the airfoil. The crossover passages produce impingement cooling and the pin array produces convective cooling. This combination of impingement cooling and convective cooling results in increased cooling of the airfoil and better aeromechanical life objectives.

  • Publication number: 20220227073
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs stored on a computer-readable storage medium, for performing hybrid additive manufacturing. In some implementations, a hybrid additive manufacturing system causes a three-dimensional printer to print a sheet of material that includes printed features on one side of the sheet, each printed feature having a structural characteristic that is different from structural characteristics of a majority of the sheet. The system causes a molding machine to form the sheet using a mold, where at least one printed feature corresponds with an area of the mold at which the sheet deforms while being formed.

  • Publication number: 20210394114
Abstract: Devices and methods for atmospheric water harvesting may be useful to obtain drinking water from air of moderate humidity, in a process driven directly by solar energy. Devices feature a recirculating stream of a fluid, such as air, and include heat recuperation to heat fluid in one portion of the stream using heat contained in another portion of the stream. Passive heat sinking is sufficient to condense liquid water, without need for refrigeration. The objective of the technologies and inventions is to enable affordable household products that improve drinking water access, with a focus on those currently without access to safely managed drinking water.
