  • Patent number: 7343874
Abstract: A litter composition comprising a substantially particulate primary absorbent material and a binding agent, the binding agent comprising approximately 0.01%-40% of the litter composition. In one embodiment, the primary absorbent material comprises silica gel and the binding agent comprises a galactomannan. In additional embodiments, the litter composition also includes at least one of the following components: fixing agent, colorant agent, anti-bacterial agent, fragrance and/or supplemental absorbent material.

  • Publication number: 20070028499
Abstract: A muzzle-loading firearm includes a breech plug for mating, non-threaded engagement with a housing located at the breech end of an axial bore of the firearm barrel. The plug includes a cylindrically-shaped body member having opposite first and second ends and an outer surface between the ends and configured so that when the plug is positioned within the housing, the outer surface is spaced close to the inside surface of the housing to facilitate insertion and removal of the plug from the housing. The body member is formed with a primer chamber for receiving and retaining a primer or a percussion cap at the first end, and a passageway for fluidly communicating the primer chamber with a powder charge at the second end. The body member may have a powder chamber for receiving and retaining at least part of a powder charge at the second end when the firearm is loaded.

  • Publication number: 20060293202
Abstract: A cleaning composition with a 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid and a food safe nonionic surfactant gives good antimicrobial performance with improved filming and streaking performance combined with low residue and high grease cleaning capability for use on and around food contact surfaces. The composition may contain an anionic surfactant to provide improved wetting performances, and may optionally contain a solvent, additional surfactants, and other adjuncts. The food safe nonionic surfactant is preferably food safe or of low toxicological concern for use on animal, human and food contact surfaces. The composition can be used directly, diluted for use or impregnated and used on a wipe or other substrate, and require no rinsing or removal from the surface following application and cleaning.

  • Publication number: 20060293214
Abstract: Aqueous dilutions of acidic ternary compositions having unusually synergistic antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella choleraesuis microorganisms are disclosed. The compositions encompass ternary component mixtures of an alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acid, a monohydric water soluble alkanol and an anionic tenside having a Ternary Ratio residing within a defined phase region wherein synergistic antimicrobial activity is observed; whereas mixtures outside of the defined phase region and those lacking any one of the components do not exhibit synergistic activity. Compositions, methods and articles employing the inventive ternary synergistic compositions, and their utility in sanitizing and disinfecting hard surfaces are described.
