  • Publication number: 20190339921
Abstract: A remote display module configured to intelligently manage energy when processing display update requests. The remote display module comprising: a display; a communication means configured to send and receive data; an energy module configured to supply energy to the device; and a processing means communicably linked to the display, the communication means, and the energy module; wherein the processing means is configured to receive a display update request comprising an instruction; determine an available energy amount from the energy module and a required energy amount based on the energy required to execute the instruction; and send a display update response when the available energy does not exceed a threshold based on the required energy amount.

  • Patent number: 8577728
Abstract: A display system 10 for displaying information at a point of product display in a retail outlet comprising a communicator 12 for transmitting display information to a remote display module 18, the display module 18 being adapted in a first, low power mode to display information and in a second, higher power mode periodically, in a predetermined manner, to communicate with the communicator 12, the system 10 preferably being configured to enable determination of the accuracy and automated correction of the synchronization of a periodic communication between the communicator 12 and the display module 18 while the display module 18 continues to switch between first and second modes of operation enabling a low overall consumption of power by the display module 18 and more preferably wherein the display module 18 is adapted to switch between first and second power modes between receipt of a synchronization signal and a display information signal from the communicator 12.

  • Publication number: 20060199204
Abstract: RNA in sperm can be used as a diagnostic to distinguish between normal and affected individuals. A list of specific diagnostic transcripts is provided which is compared with transcripts obtained from the sperm of a subject. Correlation between the two transcripts is used to identify normal sperm or affected sperm. Addition, genetic testing for male infertility or damage to spermatozoa is accomplished by providing a microarray of DNA probes with a sample of spermatozoa to determine the mRNA fingerprints of the sample, and comparing the mRNA fingerprints of the sample with the mRNA fingerprints of normal fertile male spermatozoa.
