Abstract: An article of footwear includes an upper and an adjustable lacing system. The adjustable lacing system includes a plurality of fastener engaging elements located at the medial and lateral sides of the upper, where at least one of the medial side and the lateral side includes sets of fastener engaging elements. Each set of fastener engaging elements is distanced from another set in a direction transverse a lengthwise direction of the upper, and the fastener engaging elements are configured to engage with and retain a fastener structure that extends between the medial and lateral sides of the upper such that the fastener structure can be selectively engaged with different sets of fastener engaging elements to adjust a fit of the upper around a width of the foot disposed within the cavity.

Abstract: A running shoe includes an upper coupled to a sole structure. The sole structure includes a compressible midsole and an outsole. The midsole possesses a first compression value. A compression plate or insert possessing a second compression value is positioned between the midsole and the outsole. Specifically, the insert is softer, or has a smaller compression value, than the midsole. The outsole wraps around a sole structure such that it contacts the midsole and the insert. The outer surface of the outsole includes a series of treads or traction elements extending along the bottom and sides of the outsole. With this configuration, when the sole structure contacts an uneven topography, the outsole conforms around the topography, stabilizing the footwear during use.

Abstract: The present invention is directed toward an article of footwear including an upper and a sole structure. The sole structure includes a generally rigid midsole plate spanning the length of the footwear and a compression member depending from the ground-facing surface of the plate. In an embodiment, the sole structure includes a forward compression member and a rearward compression member that is received into a corresponding socket formed into the midsole plate. The compression members include a plurality of compression elements interconnected by linking elements. The compression and linking elements cooperate to attenuate load forces. In an embodiment, the compression and linking elements are further configured to influence the orientation of the foot during a step cycle.

The upper further includes a forefoot member attached to a forefoot portion of the sole and a heel member attached to a heel portion of the sole. The forefoot member and heel member are detached from each other at a location above the sole to enable individual adjustment of the forefoot member and the heel member.

Abstract: The present invention is directed toward footwear including an upper connected to a sole structure. The upper includes two portions formed via compression molding in which textile layers are compressed to form a fabric laminate. One of the upper portions generally defines a seamless heel cup. The other upper portion generally defines a toe cage. The toe cage includes one or more integrated toe guides operable to position a toe of a wearer in a predetermined position within the cavity.
