  • Patent number: 8495138
Abstract: Web server methodology processes responses to a web page, wherein the web page is at least partially generated from one or more widgets and each widget denotes how an element of the web page is to be displayed at a client. The web server receives a response to the web page from the client. From the received response, the server identifies a widget that was used by the server to generate an element of the web page that was provided to the client. In response to this identification, the server then executes action processing logic associated with the particular widget that was used by the server to generate an element of the web page. The action processing logic for the widget uses data received in the response and performs an action with respect to that data.

  • Publication number: 20120185399
Abstract: Methods for notifying customers of vehicle recall notices are disclosed, including a passive method where vehicles brought to a service station are processed, and an active method where mailings are generated to vehicle owners. Based upon the provided vehicle identification number in a repair order or in a customer list, a manufacturer recall database is queried with a recall campaign retrieval request. Vehicle recall notices are transmitted and received in response, with some vehicles being subject to outstanding recall campaigns identified therein. One or more corrective maintenance services are associated with the vehicle recall notices. An alert notification or the mailings to the customers including the recall notification are generated.

  • Publication number: 20080066671
Abstract: A retractable convertible top for a pleasure craft, including a canvas type fabric and stowable linkage mechanism, is described. This convertible top may be fully deployed and retracted automatically to provide a quick and efficient means of providing shelter for the open cabin of a pleasure craft while still allowing easy entrance and egress from the cabin when the top is fully deployed. The convertible top may be fully stowable within a small volume storage bin with watertight covers. The stowage bin may be integrated into the craft. The craft's existing hydraulic and control systems may be utilized to automatically deploy and retract the convertible top.

  • Publication number: 20050214109
Abstract: Turbo-machinery and methods are disclosed for a bladeless conical radial turbine wherein fluid is directed axially within the pump body to produce an axial output. The rotor comprises a plurality of spaced apart conical elements. A plurality of spiraling flow paths may be provided to receive fluid to which fluid has been imparted by acceleration of the fluid through the spaces between the conical elements using boundary layer adhesion techniques. The fluid is smoothly directed to any number of subsequent boundary layer pumping stages which are axially positioned with respect to each other.
