  • Publication number: 20260073949
Abstract: A data storage device may include a sealed inner enclosure, wherein a gaseous environment inside of the sealed inner enclosure differs from a standard air environment; an outer cover situated over and coupled to at least a portion of the sealed inner enclosure; and an environment-controlling substance situated between the sealed inner enclosure and the outer cover. The sealed inner enclosure comprises at least one membrane to allow the environment-controlling substance to affect the gaseous environment inside of the sealed inner enclosure. A method of manufacturing a data storage device may comprise sealing an inner enclosure of the data storage device; applying an outer cover to the data storage device; including an environment-controlling substance between the inner enclosure and the outer cover; and creating a non-standard air environment within the inner enclosure of the data storage device.

  • Publication number: 20060221498
Abstract: A magnetic read/write head is produced with an insert layer between the substrate and the magnetic transducer. The insert layer has a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than the substrate, which reduces the temperature pole tip recession (T-PTR) of the head because the insert layer is an intervening layer between the substrate and magnetic transducer. The insert layer is produced by plating, e.g., an Invar layer over the substrate prior to fabricating the magnetic transducer. The Invar layer is annealed and the structure planarized prior to depositing a non-magnetic gap layer followed by the fabrication of the magnetic transducer.

  • Publication number: 20060059866
Abstract: A product delivery system is provided wherein consumer products are delivered in bulk to the retail site and can be dispensed to individual containers at the retail site. The consumer products can include products in concentrated form that may be diluted prior to dispense or use. The consumer products can include, for example and without limitation, foodstuffs, beverages, household products and automotive products. The product delivery system can include manufacture and/or blending of one or more consumer products at a product manufacturing site, said one or more consumer products being filled into bulk shuttle reservoirs, said one or more bulk shuttle reservoirs being transported to the retail site, and the consumer products contained in said bulk shuttle reservoirs being transferred to individual storage containers for retail to the consumer.
