  • Patent number: 4400872
Abstract: A method of operating apparatus adapted for skewing a stack of laminations. In this method, one opposite end face of the stack is disposed on supporting means therefor, and skewing means pivotally associated with the supporting means is passed through passage means of the stack with a part of the skewing means extending beyond the other opposite end face of the stack. A rocker arm is associated with the other opposite end of the stack to initiate pivoting of the rocker arm generally about a pivotal arrangement with a means for carrying it, and the rocker arm is moved during its pivoting to engage the skewing means part so as to pivotally displace the skewing means from an at-rest position toward a displaced position thereby to effect the skewing of the laminations of the stack.Apparatus adapted for imparting skew to a stack of laminations is also disclosed.
