    Abstract: A simulated bright brass finish is produced by electroplating onto a metal base a gold-silver alloy coating having a thickness of the order of one ten-thousandth of an inch. The gold content of the coating is about five parts by weight for each four parts of silver. The surface of the coating is polished.
