Patent number: 8764080Abstract: A modular reconfigurable bumper system for an off road vehicle includes a center base mountable to the front of the vehicle. The center base has ends, a top face, and a front face. A pair of first mounting locations having associated mounting holes are located on the front face of the center base adjacent its ends and a pair of second mounting locations having associated mounting holes are located on the top face adjacent the ends of the center base. A pair of third mounting locations are located on the ends of the center base. A plurality of optional accessories including end plates, end extenders, an overrider, a prerunner, a stinger, and D-rings are selectively mountable to the center base, all via the first, second, and third mounting locations. The system also includes a rear bumper assembly mountable to the back of the vehicle and having a hinged spare tire carrier and D-rings selectively attachable to the rear bumper via common fourth mounting locations.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2013Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: Omix-AdaInventors: David E. Hardy, Patrick W. Bennett

Patent number: 8695894Abstract: A system for dispensing liquid material with different configurations of air assisted fiberization or filament movement (e.g., meltblowing, controlled fiberization). In particular, front access for mounting a selected nozzle only requires adjustment of one lever and one fastener. Features of the lever and nozzle allow assisted ejection of the nozzle, even when the nozzle has become adhered to a die body through use. In addition, a nozzle mounting surface of the die body provides a universal interface to the various types of nozzles. An air cavity in the die body and air troughs in selected types of nozzles balance and adjust air flow.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2012Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: Nordson CorporationInventors: Charles A. Gressett, Jr., David E. Hardy, John M. Riney, Laurence B. Saidman, Paul Schmidt

Publication number: 20120183745Abstract: A vehicle floor tray has a base, upstanding side walls, a forward panel, and an aft wall that define a basin. An array of spaced apart treads project upwardly from the base. The treads are arranged in adjacent rows and the treads in each row are oriented in a direction opposite from the direction of orientation of the treads in adjacent rows. Some rows may be shifted or staggered with respect to adjacent rows. This forms a convolutely shaped network of channels within which liquid may collect. The shape of the channel inhibits the mass flow of liquid to the front, back, or sides of the floor tray during acceleration, deceleration, and up or down hill traverses. This inhibits puddling of liquid during off-road operation of a vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 29, 2012Publication date: July 19, 2012Inventors: John M. STANESIC, David E. Hardy

Patent number: 8163369Abstract: A vehicle floor tray has a base, upstanding side walls, a forward panel, and an aft wall that define a basin for confining liquid such as water, mud, and slush. An array of spaced apart chevron-shaped treads project upwardly from the base. The chevron-shaped treads are arranged in adjacent rows and the treads in each row are oriented in a direction opposite from the direction of orientation of the treads in adjacent rows. Further, each row of treads is shifted or staggered with respect to adjacent rows by a distance substantially equal to half the length of a tread plus half the distance between adjacent treads in a row. This configuration forms a convolutedly shaped network contiguous channels within which liquid may collect and spread out. The shape of the channel network and the shapes and orientations of the chevron-shaped treads inhibits the mass flow of liquid to the front, back, or sides of the floor tray during acceleration, deceleration, and up or down hill traverses.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2008Date of Patent: April 24, 2012Assignee: Omix-Ada, Inc.Inventors: John M. Patent number: 5803778Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for containers of human waste. The apparatus has a floating receiving station with receiving apertures projecting from the receiving station to receive containers of human waste which have been stored on a boat. As the boat approaches the receiving station, the waste may be placed within the receiving aperture and thereby prevent the pollution of water.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 1997Date of Patent: September 8, 1998Inventor: David E.
