  • Publication number: 20110247267
Abstract: A planter box assembly has a sheet metal frame with two opposed end walls connected by opposed front and back walls. The frame has a bottom opening and an upper peripheral rim. A molded plastic insert has a bottom wall with a plurality of upwardly extending side walls. The insert has a cavity which receives soil and plants. A peripheral flange extends outwardly from the insert side walls over the frame rim, allowing the plastic insert to be supported on the frame. Mounting holes in the frame front and back walls allow the planter box assembly to be mounted to a board or bracket which extends from a vertical post.

  • Patent number: 7497368
Abstract: A mailbox is mounted to two perpendicular faces of a post by a mounting assembly main bracket with two perpendicular flanges. The main bracket has a horizontal top wall from which two diverging sidewalls extend downwardly. The top wall has two sets of perpendicular slots, which receive two parallel right angle top brackets to receive the mailbox in a position either partially overlying the top of the post, projecting from the post, or offset from the post in a transverse orientation. Another embodiment has a main bracket with an integral top bracket, and only one adjustable top bracket. For sale, the top brackets mount to the main bracket by a label sheet wrapping the top wall and holding a fastener container.

  • Patent number: 7185803
Abstract: A conventional mailbox is mounted to a dimensioned lumber post by a mailbox mounting assembly having a main bracket which mounts to two perpendicular faces of the post by two perpendicular flanges. Yet another embodiment has two mirror image brackets which mount to different size mailboxes by their position with respect to each other on a post.

  • Patent number: 5267400
Abstract: A compound action shears having a pair of blades interconnected for reciprocation between open and closed positions, one of the blades having a serrated edge with the inner surface of the blade being beveled to provide a curved surface rearwardly of the serrated edge, and the other blade having a cutting edge positioned to engage the beveled surface rearwardly of the serrated edge.

  • Patent number: 5241752
Abstract: A pole-mounted pruning tool having a shank adapted to support a cutting implement in a disposition suitable for severing a branch or the like. The shank merges into a hook having a jaw. The hook has a slot through which a cutting blade pivots during a pruning operation, the cutting blade cooperating with the jaw to severe a limb to be trimmed. The cutting blade biasing member, which urges the blade into a normally open position outside the bight of the jaw, is substantially received in a recess of the shank so that the pruning tool is less susceptible to becoming caught in congested foliage areas during pruning operations.

  • Patent number: 5216780
Abstract: A tubular handgrip for attaching to link chain as a sleeve is made by joining a pair of identical semi-circular components around a chain. The mated components each has a post portion which extends transversely through a link in the chain to prevent the grip from slipping along the chain with the two components being mutually adjustable lengthwise to enable the spacing between post portions to be varied as necessary to accept any chain-link length.
