    Abstract: A mounting bracket is provided for removably mounting a storage device on a slot track or slotwall panel having a plurality of slots having undercut sidewalls that form generally “T” shaped slats. The mounting bracket includes a support surface having a first “J” shaped hook to hook over the edge of a slat and into the undercut sidewall and a second “J” shaped hook to hook into a second slot and into the undercut sidewall. The mounting bracket includes a storage device connector attached to the support surface at a first end and has a second end. The storage device connector can include a lock rotatably mounted on the top wall adjacent the first “J” shaped hook having a locking member and an operator that is rotatable between locked and unlocked positions. A storage device can be coupled to the second end of the storage device connector. The storage device can be an actuatable holding system for a bicycle, or other storage device such as a basket or a storage shelf.

In one exemplary embodiment of the system, first and second arms are pivotally connected to a pivot base and are actuated between an opened and closed position by an assembly that can include an actuator housing with a length and extending from the base, an arm contacting element that can slide along at least a portion of the length of the actuator housing, and a button slideably disposed on the housing, distal to the arm contacting element, and operable to releasably lock the arm contacting element in at least a first position, in which the first and second arms are in the opened position, and a second position, in which the first and second arms are in the closed position. A variety of features of actuatable holding systems, as well as methods of manufacturing such systems, are also disclosed herein.

    Abstract: A training manikin for use in teaching students to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation includes a head, a neck, and a torso molded integrally of a resilient material allowing flexure of the neck and providing realistic resistance to compression of the torso in simulating external heart massage. An audible signal device indicates adequate chest compression. A tubular airway passage includes a restrictor and a device for indicating sufficient air flow, and can receive obstructors. A cavity in the torso holds a smaller, infant-size similar manikin. The manikin may have a tough watertight skin surrounding a core of resilient microporous foam of lesser density. One embodiment of the invention includes a ball-and-socket joint articulating the head portion with the neck portion.

    Abstract: The bracket 6 of the rod holder 2 is constructed of substantially resiliently flexible material and has four slots 24, 26, 28 and 30 in the rim 18 thereof, which depend to points 37 substantially contiguous to the base plate 4, so that the bracket is divided into pairs of relatively resiliently displaceable body portions 38, 40, 42, 44, and 46. The walls 36 of the body portions have successive pairs of part annular collar sections 34 therein, which define successively smaller clamping rings 48, with nips 50 therebetween, as the slots depend toward the plate 4. As a result, when a rod 96 is impaled in the V-shaped kerf of a slot, it can seek that ring 48 which will grip it against dislodgement, when the caduceus-like clamps 32 at the walls of the body portions, relax about the rod.

    Abstract: In a prosthetic foot constructed to store strain energy as the foot reacts to the load of the amputee's body during walking, running, jumping, etc., and then to release the stored energy to create foot lift and thrust which complements the user's natural stride, a monolithic cantilever beam made of a hardened polymer is provided as the keel of the foot with an ankle attachment fitting for connection to a standard upper prosthesis. A flexible foamed polymer is molded about the keel, in the shape of a natural foot, to transfer horizontal loads to the keel and to serve as a cosmetic cover.
