  • Patent number: 4768989
Abstract: A toy tea kettle or the like has a spout and whistling means to simulate the sound made by steam escaping from a boiling kettle. The spout has a lid, and the kettle has a toothed rack coupled to the lid for oscillating the lid to simulate the action of an actual kettle lid in response to steam escaping from the spout. The kettle further has a reciprocally movable plunger coupled to the toothed rack for moving the lid to a fully opened position upon depression of the plunger to prepare the kettle for pouring.

  • Patent number: 4718613
Abstract: The present invention is a water-powered device for cleaning gutters and the like. An elongated housing includes a water-powered motor comprising an internal paddlewheel mated to a first end of a gear train. A fitting is attached to a first end of the housing. The fitting is connected to a conventional hose to provide a stream of water to the paddlewheel. A drive gear is mated to a second end of the gear train. Drums having cleats are mounted to the gear train. As the water rotates the paddlewheel, the gear train reduces the rotational speed and increases the torque delivered to the drive gear and the drums. As the drums rotate and mulch debris in the gutter, the device advances forward. Water is flushed from the housing through specially oriented ports into the gutter to enhance the mulching of debris.

  • Patent number: 4713036
Abstract: A toy power driven reciprocating saw workshop is disclosed for simulating the sawing action of a real power driven reciprocating saw cutting a groove through a board. The power driven reciprocating saw workshop having an elongated board having an elongated slot extending therethrough within which an elongated bar is supported adjacent a row of saw teeth on a side of the slot. The saw teeth and one end of the bar form an escapement adapted when one end of the bar is reciprocated and pressed forwardly along the slot by a reciprocating member to intermittently move the bar along the slot one tooth at a time, simulating the sawing action of a real reciprocating saw cutting a groove through a board.

  • Patent number: 4701147
Abstract: A toy simulated power drill workshop is disclosed for simulating the drilling action of a real power drill in the process of drilling a hole through a board or the like. The toy simulated power drill-workshop having a base member having a first opening extending therethrough, and a plate movably mounted on the base member for covering the first opening. The plate has a second opening alignable with the first opening upon movement of the plate for uncovering the first opening. A driven gear is mounted on the plate with the teeth thereof extending into the first opening. A toy power drill having a rotatably driven cylindrical post with a drive gear on the end thereof is adapted when inserted and pressed into the first opening into engagement with the teeth to rotate the plate until the first and second openings are moved into alignment. During the rotation of the plate, the non-movement of the drill simulates the imperceptible movement of a real drill as it is drilling a hole into a board or the like.

  • Patent number: 4159087
Abstract: A toy glider kite capable of effectively functioning as a kite when held by a tow line and as a glider when released for free flying. The glider kite comprises a pair of flexible wing sections which are pivotal relative to one another between kite and normal glider modes of operation. In the kite mode of operation, the wing sections pivot to form a dihedral angle of one value in relation to a reference plane. In the normal glider mode of operation, the wing sections pivot to form a dihedral angle in relation to the reference plane which is smaller than the one value.

  • Patent number: 4079542
Abstract: A parachute toy has flexible shrouds molded of a single piece of resin material connecting the shrouds together at their lower ends where they are attached to a body. The upper ends of the shrouds are freely separable and are formed with headed snap fasteners for quick manual connection or disconnection with grommets in the canopy. A simulated harness is preferably molded integrally with the shrouds for releasable attachment to a body.
