  • Patent number: 6752583
Abstract: A material segregation and delivery apparatus is described in which a frame carries a succession of material receiving containers. A material intake station is situated above one of the material receiving containers. A number of endless belt conveyors extend elevationally over the containers. At least one driver is operable to move the conveyor working flights to transport received materials. The conveyors are selectively movable (a) toward one another to a substantially joined condition in which the conveyors operably combine to form a substantially single extent, and (b) away from one another to define discharge openings over selected ones of the containers.

  • Patent number: 6695240
Abstract: A shredding apparatus includes a frame and shafts driven to rotate about shaft axes. A plurality of cutter plates are mounted for rotation with the shafts and are arranged in radial overlapping fashion. The cutter plates may each include cutter tooth groups spaced about an outer plate parameter. A succession of cutting relief surfaces are disposed between successive cutter tooth groups. The cutter tooth groups may be disposed at least partially outward of associated relief surfaces in a radial direction with respect to the drive shaft axis.

  • Patent number: 6491245
Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile shredding and material handling and feed system, preferably for use in the handling and shredding of paper and other office related feedstock. An embodiment of the system on the input side utilizes an input hopper, a first conveyor, a feed aperture, and a second conveyor which moves excess feedstock away from the entry to the shredder feed aperture to avoid jamming the feed aperture. An embodiment of the invention on the output side utilizes a compactor, preferably one or more augers, to compact the shredded material exiting the shredder, and moving said compacted shredded material to the discharge or system output. An embodiment of this material handling and feed system also applies for balers.

  • Patent number: 5542617
Abstract: A truck mounted mobile paper shredder with high shredding rate incorporates a hammer mill, with a sweeping arm in a tub feeding the mill. A lifting arm lifts paper containers to an inverted position over the tub to feed paper into the tub. The hammer mill, with striking angle less than 30.degree. feeds paper into a compactor with reciprocating plunger. Compacted shredded paper passes through a movable wall into a storage area having an unloading gate. Movement of the movable wall forces compacted shredded paper out of the unloading gate.
