  • Publication number: 20110262342
Abstract: An on-demand portable chlorine dioxide generator has a reagent bound medium in a first enclosed volume; a complementary reagent solution in a second enclosed volume, and a structure for selecting between a first position where the complementary reagent solution is forced through the reagent bound medium and a second position where said complementary reagent solution remains isolated from the reagent bound ion exchange medium, where a ClO2 solution is generated only during periods when the structure for forcing is actuated. The ClO2 solution can be discharged for use as a portable sprayer that can be used to treat surfaces infected by anthrax or other biological contaminants. When the bound reagent is chlorite, the complementary reagent is an acid or an oxidant. When the bound reagent is an acid or an oxidant, the complementary reagent solution is a chlorite solution.

  • Patent number: 7839782
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for determining the source or sources of a relatively high amount of traffic into a first set of nodes from another set of nodes. In one example, the top talker sources among a first set of nodes are found. Any top talker sources, which are from another set of nodes are determined, and an alert is produced which indicates the top talker sources to the network manager.

  • Patent number: 7146568
Abstract: User-configurable group views allow an administrator of a managed network, upon noticing that an icon is indicative of a critical event having occurred, as reflected in the color, shape, or other such indicator of the icon, to “drill down” to the network device or service that is the subject of the critical event and to then view an event or trap message associated with the critical event that is stored as a field of the network device or service effected by the critical event.

  • Patent number: 7040143
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for testing characteristics of a material sample is provided. The system includes an apparatus configured to house the material test sample while defining a sealed volume against a surface of the material test sample. A source of pressurized fluid is in communication with, and configured to pressurize, the sealed volume. A load applying apparatus is configured to apply a defined load to the material sample while the sealed volume is monitored for leakage of the pressurized fluid. Thus, the inducement of surface defects such as microcracking and crazing may be detected and their effects analyzed for a given material. The material test samples may include laminar structures formed of, for example, carbon cloth phenolic, glass cloth phenolic, silica cloth phenolic materials or carbon-carbon materials. In one embodiment the system may be configured to analyze the material test sample while an across-ply loading is applied thereto.

  • Publication number: 20030033404
Abstract: A computer network has at least on computer operatively connected to an electronic device. The computer measures the response time for data transfers between the computer and the electronic device. The measured data response times are compared to preselected data response times and an indication is provided if the measured response time exceeds the preselected response time.

  • Patent number: 6054987
Abstract: A methodology for dynamically creating, modifying, and deleting nodal views of a managed network environment is presented. The methodology stores the group view information in a file that may be edited by a user. This allows the user to be able to dynamically configure group view information. The methodology also provides menubars, popup menus, and toolbar that are context sensitive to the group view that is selected.
