  • Patent number: 7624434
Abstract: A system for providing security in a computing network. The system has a server for distributing policies to be implemented by firewall devices in the network. The firewall devices provide hardware implemented firewalls to communication devices making network connections. The system has logic to allow a connection to be made to the network via a communication device at a node provided the firewall device is at that node. Therefore, the firewall device must be in the system for a connection to be established via the communication device. Additionally, the system is configured to cause data transferred by the communication device to be processed by the firewall.

  • Publication number: 20090144362
Abstract: This application relates to systems and methods for providing desktop messaging and end-user profiling in a computer environment. Generally, implementation includes delivering imaged-based content (including advertisements) and/or multi-media messages to an end-user on a periodic basis. In some cases, the content is conveyed from a server software application to a client device via a conduit that does not use an Internet browser, RSS, XML, Javascripts, ActiveX, or an e-mail client. As the end-user reads or otherwise interacts with the software application on a client machine, software on the machine collects profile information from the end-user. This profile information is used to target additional content for the particular end-user.

  • Publication number: 20090094926
Abstract: A bracket or retrofitting panels to a structure is provided with first, second and top walls which define a channel. The channel is sized and shaped to enclose existing fasteners on the structure. A base flange may cantilever from the first or second walls and extend away from the first and second walls to enable a user to secure the bracket to the structure prior to placing new panels on the bracket. Another base flange may cantilever away from the second wall, toward the first wall, and be sized to place a leading edge portion of the base flange adjacent existing fasteners on the structure to locate the bracket before installation and prevent lateral movement of the bracket along existing panels.
