  • Patent number: 4708335
Abstract: A sheet presenting assembly, for example for dispensing banknotes, comprises a rotatably mounted set of stacking wheels (2-5) each having a plurality of sheet receiving slots (7). A stripping device (13) cooperates with the stacking wheels (2-5) in a first position to strip sheets from the stacking wheels to form stack of sheets. The stripping device (13) is movable to a second position in which the stack of sheets (28) is clamped between the stripping device (13) and outer surfaces of two belts (20, 20'). Drive including a drive motor (22) and the belts (20, 20') move the stripping device 13 with the stack of sheets (28) clamped therebetween towards a present station (29).

  • Patent number: 4676432
Abstract: Sheet receiving apparatus for a cash dispenser comprises a sheet container (18) to which a lid (19) is pivotally connected. A T-shaped moulding (24) is positioned in the lid (19) to lock the lid to the container (18) when the lid is in a closed position. A lock retainer comprising a pin (51) is also mounted in the lid (19) for retaining the moulding (24) in an unlocked position (not shown). A head portion (52) of the pin (51) is operable to disengage the pin (51) from the moulding (24) by cooperating with a cam and slot arrangement (61, 64) in a housing (59) of the cash dispenser. Upon insertion of the container (18) into the housing (59), the pin (51) is received in a diagonally extending slot (61) so that the lid (19) is caused to open. In addition, the slot (61) has a laterally outwardly extending cam portion (64) which acts on the head portion (62) of the pin (51) to withdraw the pin from engagement with the moulding (24).

  • Patent number: 4602777
Abstract: This relates to sheet feeding apparatus of the kind in which sheets following separate first and second belt transport paths are fed into a common belt transport path. At the junction of portions of the paths of belts 5 and 9 which define portions of the first and second belt transport paths, a sheet guide 8 is freely mounted for pivotal movement about the shaft of a roller 20, the guide 8 having surfaces tapering to a leading end which extends towards the meeting point of the belts 5 and 9. One of these surfaces assists in guiding notes from the first path into the third common belt transport path, defined by the belts 5 and 9 upstream of their meeting point and the other of the guide surfaces guides notes arriving from the second belt transport path into the common path.
