  • Improved cushioned shoe sole construction

    Abstract: A shoe sole including an outsole having forepart, arch and heel portions and a substantially flat cushioning element disposed above the outsole heel portion. The cushioning element defines a chamber which is pressurized with a fluid. Also included is an insole, disposed above the outsole forepart and arch portions of said outsole and directly adjacent the pressurized cushioning chamber. Further, a top of the pressurized cushioning chamber does not extend materially above a top of the directly adjacent insole.
