  • Patent number: 11865052
Abstract: A controlled access aerosolized particle enclosure for isolation of airborne contaminants includes a frame defining a patient isolation region over a patient bed. A linkage attaches the framed enclosure to a patient treatment vehicle, and a flexible elasticized barrier is suspended by the frame for enclosing the patient isolation region. The barrier is formed from deformable planer sheets of a flexible transparent material and extending adjacent to the patient treatment surface forming a draped edge around the bed or transport. A low pressure source is in fluidic engagement with the enclosure for reducing a pressure within the enclosure below that of ambient surroundings, such that the low pressure source provides a pressure for drawing the elasticized barrier against the patient treatment surface for restricting airborne particle passage from the enclosure to the ambient surroundings, but limits the negative pressure to avoid substantial deformation or collapse of the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20220318724
Abstract: An apparatus for managing inventory is described. The apparatus includes a plurality of labels each having a unique pre-printed indicia. A printer prints machine-readable data corresponding to product information on one or more of the labels, such that the machine-readable data is printed on a same side of the label as the unique pre-printed indicia. An imaging device reads the machine-readable data and the unique pre-printed indicia on the label. A computing device includes software that associates the machine-readable data with the unique pre-printed indicia to create an association that is stored in a memory.

  • Publication number: 20220318730
Abstract: An apparatus for tracking inventory is described. The apparatus includes a plurality of labels with pre-printed indicia, such that each label in the plurality of labels includes a unique indicia representing a unique serial number. Each of the plurality of labels is applied to one of a plurality of the same products. Each product in the plurality of the same products uses the same machine-readable data. An imaging device reads the machine-readable data used by the plurality of the same products and the unique pre-printed indicia on the label applied to each product. A computing device is coupled to the imaging device. Software executing on the computing device associates the machine-readable data with the unique pre-printed indicia to create an association. The association is stored in a memory.

  • Publication number: 20120117834
Abstract: Compact powered devices are provided. The powered devices include a substrate, a battery, an activation element and an output device in electrical or optical communication. The compact powered device can be a card that, when subjected to an outside influence or stimulus, displays a message or illumination. The illumination can be circumscribed within a graphical design of the card. The card can be a gift card, a loyalty card, a novelty card, a financial card, an identification card or a smart card. The output device can be a light guide film that distributes light from an illumination device such as an LED which, when activated, illuminates a side of the light guide film. The output device is configured to display a number, a graphic, a logo, or another pattern or message in response to the stimulus.

  • Publication number: 20120109735
Abstract: A flexible stored value label has within it an integrated thin film flexible display and has RFID and security capabilities. In another embodiment, the present invention is a stored value payment system. The label has a secure processor with a memory, a near-field antenna connected to the processor and a bi-state display and a flexible encapsulation layer encapsulating the secure processor, the near-field antenna and the bi-state display. The encapsulation layer has a window through which information displayed on the bi-state display may be viewed. The secure processor and the display are powered solely by energy received through the near-field antenna and the label conforms to a shape of a non-planar surface of an object to which it is attached.
