In particular, such a method is described, wherein a receiver comprises first (RF) and second (IF) gain control loops respectively using first and second gain control signals, and comprising indicating signal quality dependent on said first gain control signal and said second gain control signal. In an embodiment, a difference between the first and second gain control signals is used to indicate presence of interference and/or received signal strength.
