  • Publication number: 20220087891
Abstract: Taking an individualistic approach to the treatment of chronic pain may soon be the norm of modern-day medicine. The potential to control the type of medication, in addition to external stimulus including, but not limited to electrical, thermal, cold, or ultrasonic, presents itself in a new “toolbox.” The present invention relates to the management of chronic pain through non-opioid, multi modal compounded transdermal applications, whose properties are enhanced externally, by electrical, thermal, or mechanical energy. More specifically, the present invention encapsulates the customization of personal health, in analyzing, applying and contributing to the betterment of patient's well-being, adapting to patient's preference, biological requirements and regulating to various environments based on the individual's specific body part.

  • Publication number: 20140200486
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a system and method for monitoring a human foot by measuring pressures applied to regions of the foot or by measuring another tissue-health related condition. A light source in the 400 nm to 1400 nm range and a detector can be embedded in a wearable article that contacts tissue while in use, spaced 200 ?m to 1 cm apart, and measure a tissue hemoglobin condition. A pressure-sensing array may be read by a low-power control circuit, and a power source can be incorporated in the article. An external processing unit wirelessly coupled to the control circuit can relate pressures measured with counts that are associated with injury risk, and an alert system can notify a patient if the counts exceed a predetermined threshold. A relationship between pressure experienced by a region of tissue and the risk of ulcer development in that region may be derived.

  • Publication number: 20110028809
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include an orb or lamp communicating with a noninvasive monitor to provide a readily identifiable point indication of a wellness of a monitored patient. In an embodiment the orb emits a color gradient from a first color through at least two other colors responsive to values of a wellness measurement. Exemplary wellness indications include one or a statistical combination of blood constituent measurements, combinations of other physiological parameters, or the like.
