Abstract: A telematics device for a barrier transfer machine with machine sensors that capture operational data of the barrier transfer machine associated with a barrier segment includes a processing element, a communication element, and a memory element. The processing element is configured to receive the captured operational data. The communication element is in communication with the processing element and is configured to wirelessly transmit a signal representative of at least a portion of the captured operational data. The memory element is in communication with the processing element and is configured to store at least a portion of the captured operational data.

Abstract: A glass container comprises a glass body comprising a first region under a compressive stress extending from a surface of the glass body to a depth of compression and a second region extending from the depth of compression into a thickness of the glass body, the second region being under a tensile stress. The glass container also includes a localized compressive stress region having a localized compressive stress extending from the surface to a localized depth of compression within the body. The localized depth of compression is greater than the depth of compression of the first region. The glass container also includes a crack re-direction region extending in a predetermined propagation direction, wherein the crack re-direction region possesses a higher tensile stress than the tensile stress in the second region in a sub-region of the crack re-direction region, the sub-region extending substantially perpendicular to the predetermined propagation direction.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a method for authenticating calls for a call center where the user can authenticate before or after starting a call to a call center using an application on a user device. The system determines what level of authentication is necessary depending on the task the user wants to accomplish during the call. The system may direct the user to provide credentials, such as a username and password, for some tasks. Other tasks may require the user to verify their financial card by taking a photo of their financial card or tapping their financial card to their device and allow the device to interact with the financial card using NFC technology. Once appropriately authenticated, the system then allows the user to make a call to the call center and also sends a signal to the call center that the user has been previously authenticated.
