The masking agent may be coffee, oil and self encapsulated oil beadlet. The counteracting agent may be activated charcoal, sodium bicarbonate, zeolite, diatomaceous earth, silica gel and bentonite clay. The disinfectant agent may be a water based coating containing a cationic siloxane. In another embodiment of the invention the compartments may store the agents in a portion of the guard that is adapted to come in contact with the wearer's nostrils.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for inspecting patterned transmissive substrates, such as photomasks, for unwanted particles and features occurring on the transmissive as well as pattern defects. A transmissive substrate is illuminated by a laser through an optical system comprised of a laser scanning system, individual transmitted and reflected light collection optics and detectors collect and generate signals representative of the light transmitted and reflected by the substrate. The defect identification of the substrate is performed using only those transmitted and reflected light signals, and other signals derived from them, such as greyscale representations and image features. Defect identification is performed using a pattern inspection algorithm by comparing image feature representations of the present substrate with an idealized representation thereof, and using an advanced phase shift algorithm that accounts for particular types of expected anomalies.

    Abstract: An unmanned system for investigating underwater regions utilizes an unmanned mothership and a plurality of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs). The mothership transports the UUVs to and from the vicinity of an underwater region, releases the UUVs into the water, and facilitates recovery of the UUVs from the water. Each UUV can traverse an underwater region, generate sonar and image data associated with the underwater region, and transmit the sonar and image data through the water for receipt and re-transmission by the mothership. A docking system mounted partially onboard the mothership and partially onboard each UUV couples each UUV to the mothership and selectively releases each UUV into the underwater region. A guidance system mounted partially onboard the mothership and partially onboard each UUV guides each UUV back to the docking system from positions in the water.
