  • Patent number: 10387458
Abstract: A system is disclosed for obtaining historical mold spore data. The system may have a computer with a processor. At least one database may be used which contains information correlating subregion codes of a geographic area with ones of predetermined climate classification codes associated with each of the subregion codes. The database further may have available historical mold spore data for the subregion codes and be configured to receive an input indicating a target subregion code that identifies an area falling within the geographic area; to identify a specific one of the codes that is associated with the target subregion code; and to obtain portions of the stored historical mold spore data which is associated with ones of the subregion codes falling within the geographic area that have the specific one of the codes associated therewith.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 20, 2019
    Assignee: EMLab P&K, LLC
Inventors: Harriet A. Burge, David F. Gallup, Malcolm J. Moody, Edward V. B. Chadez, Daniel M. Devine

  • Patent number: 5626021
Abstract: A temperature climate control system comprises a variable temperature seat, at least one heat pump, at least one heat pump temperature sensor, and a controller. Each heat pump comprises a number of Peltier thermoelectric modules for temperature conditioning the air in a main heat exchanger and a main exchanger fan for passing the conditioned air from the main exchanger to the variable temperature seat. The Peltier modules and each main fan may be manually adjusted via a control switch or a control signal. Additionally, the temperature climate control system may comprise a number of additional temperature sensors to monitor the temperature of the ambient air surrounding the occupant as well as the temperature of the conditioned air directed to the occupant.

  • Patent number: 5597200
Abstract: A seating construction with a plurality of plenums into which is received temperature conditioned air. The air passes through the seat via a plurality of channels formed in the foam of the seat cushion. The air then migrates through a reticulated foam layer that is itself covered with an air permeable layer of material. The reticulated foam and stitching of the seat fabric facilitate diffusion of the air from the foam channel conduits. The air then convectively circulates against and near the occupant of the seat to facilitate climate control around the occupant.

  • Patent number: 5109143
Abstract: A gas damped deceleration switch activates a vehicle occupant safety device in response to deceleration of a vehicle. The deceleration switch comprises a mass supported for movement in response to deceleration. A base structure has surfaces defining a chamber and a gas flow inlet communicating with the chamber. A pressure reduction is caused in the chamber in response to movement of the mass. The pressure reduction in the chamber restrains movement of the mass and causes a flow of gas into the chamber through the inlet. A movable control member controls the pressure reduction and movement of the mass by adjusting the flow of gas into the chamber through the inlet. The control member is slidable across the inlet to control a flow of gas into the inlet. A spring biases the movable control member into slidable contact with the base structure.

  • Patent number: 5066837
Abstract: A damping disk assembly for a gas damped deceleration switch forms part of a means for generating a vacuum to damp movement of a mass which is movable in response to deceleration. The damping disk assembly comprises a rigid damping disk, and a coaxial flexible damping disk with a diameter greater than the diameter of the rigid damping disk. The flexible damping disk comprises a flexible spring disk and a flexible sealing disk, and has an unflexed position in overlaying surface contact with the rigid damping disk.

  • Patent number: 5066836
Abstract: A gas damped deceleration switch is calibratable to enable the switch to perform in a desired manner in response to deceleration pulses of various magnitudes and durations. A vacuum which is generated upon initial movement of a mass away from a rest position toward an activated position restrains movement of the mass away from the rest position. The vacuum is adjustable by means of an adjustable flow of gas into the vacuum. Adjustment of the flow of gas into the vacuum adjusts the degree to which the vacuum is generated for a given rate of movement of the mass away from the rest position, and thereby adjusts the magnitude and duration of a deceleration pulse required to overcome the gas damping forces resisting movement of the mass upon generation of the vacuum.
