  • Patent number: 6709295
Abstract: A connector assembly (1) mounted on a printed circuit board for mating with a network cable includes a housing (12) configured to form two mating ports (10) for receiving their complementary connectors. A conditioning unit (2) is mounted into the housing (12) to be disposed between the mating ports (10), and includes a circuit board (21) having conditioning components (22) and two terminal modules (23, 24) surface mounted thereon. Each of the terminal modules (23, 24) has terminals (25) insert-molded therein and is mounted on a different side of the circuit board (21) from each other. At least one flexible latch (18) is formed on the middle portion of one sidewall of the housing (12) and a notch (28) is formed at one edge of the circuit board (21) to be engaged with the latch (18) to fix the conditioning unit (2) in position. Thus, the conditional unit (2) is easily secured to the housing (12) and the latch (18) is easily detached from the notch (28) by a tool.

  • Patent number: 6612871
Abstract: A modular jack connector includes a housing defining a plug receiving space for receiving a complementary plug connector therein. The housing includes a printed circuit board with a number of first and second terminals mounted thereon. Each first terminal includes a spring arm extending into the plug receiving space. A first noise suppressing device is mounted on the printed circuit board and electrically connecting the first terminals with corresponding second terminals via the printed circuit board. This invention is characterized in that ferrite ceramics are integrally arranged to the second terminals so as to provide an enhanced noise suppressing result.

  • Publication number: 20030150643
Abstract: A printed circuit board (1) includes a plane substrate (10) having several insulated layers (11, 12, 13) used to dispose with conductive material. A row of footprints (2) used to connect to other electrical devices is disposed on an outer insulated layer (11) of the printed circuit board (1). These footprints (2) are paired and each is connected to a medial trace (5) formed on one of the intermediate layers (12) by a metalized hole (14). And the medial traces (C1, C1′) respectively connected to footprints (2) of the same pair (T1, R1) are formed on different intermediate layers (12) and aligned with each other for a predetermined distance.

  • Publication number: 20030082954
Abstract: An electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (2), a conductive shield (3) enclosing the insulative housing and a contact insert (4, 4′). The contact insert has a number of electrical contacts (41-48, 41′-48′) arranged into differential pairs. A first electrical contact of a first differential pair electrically couples with a first electrical contact of a second differential pair to balance an electrical coupling between a second electrical contact of the first differential pair and the first electrical contact of the second differential pair.

  • Patent number: 6474999
Abstract: An electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (2) defining a receiving cavity (26), a contact insert (3), a conductive outer shield (4) enclosing the insulative housing, and a number of LED elements (5, 6) assembled to the insulative housing. The contact insert extends in the receiving cavity and divides the receiving cavity into a pair of plug-receiving cavities. The contact insert has a printed circuit board (36), a pair of contact modules (30) respectively mounted to a first and a second surfaces of the printed circuit board, a pair of magnetic modules (32) electrically mounted to the first surface of the printed circuit board and a pair of footers (34) mounted to the second surface of the printed circuit board. The contact modules respectively have electrical contacts (302) extending into the plug-receiving cavities and electrically connected with the footers through the printed circuit board.
