Abstract: A method and system is provided featuring a computer database containing select clinical observations and laboratory data for each of a number of patients in conjunction with healthcare provided such as blood product transfusion utilization for each patient. Particularly, the database is accessible remotely such as via the worldwide web. The method and system is particularly useful for review of health care provided such as the appropriateness of blood product utilization and allows patterns of utilization by individual healthcare providers or healthcare institutions to be determined on a confidential basis.
