  • Publication number: 20240108311
Abstract: A Multiple Aperture Ultrasound Imaging (MAUI) probe or transducer is uniquely capable of simultaneous imaging of a region of interest from separate apertures of ultrasound arrays. Some embodiments provide systems and methods for designing, building and using ultrasound probes having continuous arrays of ultrasound transducers which may have a substantially continuous concave curved shape in two or three dimensions (i.e., concave relative to an object to be imaged). Other embodiments herein provide systems and methods for designing, building and using ultrasound imaging probes having other unique configurations, such as adjustable probes and probes with variable configurations.

  • Publication number: 20240081787
Abstract: A method of full-field or “ping-based” Doppler ultrasound imaging allows for detection of Doppler signals indicating moving reflectors at any point in an imaging field without the need to predefine range gates. In various embodiments, such whole-field Doppler imaging methods may include transmitting a Doppler ping from a transmit aperture, receiving echoes of the Doppler ping with one or more separate receive apertures, detecting Doppler signals and determining the speed of moving reflectors. In some embodiments, the system also provides the ability to determine the direction of motion by solving a set of simultaneous equations based on echo data received by multiple receive apertures.

  • Patent number: 5681042
Abstract: A game board apparatus having multiple sets of playing space designators is disclosed. The playing space designators are adapted to be removably affixed to playing spaces of a playing board. Examples of sets would include professional baseball teams, computer and telecommunications firms, professional football teams, etc. When a set of designators is chosen, the players then affix individual designators to playing spaces on the playing board surface. Each playing space designator includes indicia representing one or more characteristics of the playing space designator.

  • Patent number: 4466515
Abstract: A stock exchange game is disclosed. A circular playing board is divided into forty spaces at the outer periphery with some spaces representing companies, color coded states of the economy, taxes due, collect dividends, etc. Each company space has a stock price window. There is one state of the economy window. An information board is rotatably mounted under the playing board. The information board has color coded states of the economy and corresponding color coded stock prices. When a state of the economy aligns with the respective window in the playing board, related stock prices align with their respective company windows in the playing board. Players move tokens around the board in response to dice rolls. The state of the economy changes and in turn the stock prices of the companies change when a player lands on an economy condition space. This information board is rotated accordingly and the stock prices change. Stocks are bought and sold during the game.

  • Patent number: 4369973
Abstract: A portable, electronic crossword puzzle device containing a plurality of crossword puzzle formats is disclosed. The device utilizes a central processing unit (46), a puzzle memory (50) having the puzzle formats contained therein, and a random access memory (52) for the storing of the answers to the puzzle format being solved. The puzzle questions and the answers chosen thereto are displayed by liquid crystal devices comprising a question panel display (18) and a matrix panel display (16), respectively. An indexable cursor or position indicator (70) is provided to indicate to the operator the location on the matrix panel display (16) being addressed. Provisions are included for changing an answer entered into the device, comparing an individual answer with the correct answer, and for determining the correct answer when it is not known by the operator thereof.
