  • Publication number: 20130339074
Abstract: A computer-based system and method are provided for assessing extrinsic and intrinsic work characteristics of people, and storing such data for evaluation of user pre-defined groups' Workstyles and using the Workstyles and additional survey data to develop design implications for the workspace in which such groups will work in an office environment. The Workstyles encompass multiple types of Workstyles which describe characteristics of where and how individual employees work, how much control they have over their work, and what kind of work they do. The design implications provide design guidance, which are expressed in relative terms and provide suggested guidance as to the development of the individual workspaces (workstations) for a group but do not dictate the specific design thereof.

  • Patent number: 5875597
Abstract: A space-dividing screen assembly comprising a pair of height-adjustable support posts and a flexible fabric screen having the opposite ends thereof connected to the support posts. The support posts include vertically movable outer tubes to which the opposite ends of the screen are connected. Vertical movement of the outer tubes permits adjustment of the height of the screen. The outer tube is rotatable so as to allow winding up of the flexible fabric onto the outer surface of the outer tube. Also, additional screens can be suspended from the support posts while the opposite free ends of the screens are supported by additional support posts to provide a readily adjustable privacy screen arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4936120
Abstract: An anti-theft device for motor vehicles of the kind having a gearshift lever and a handbrake lever mounted on the floor in line with each other, consists of a tubular member open at its bottom which is to be fitted over the handbrake lever, and a bi-furcated member which is to be pressed onto the gearshift lever. The bi-furcated member includes two bars which are slidingly fastened in two bores at the ends of an axle which is rotatably mounted in the upper end of the tubular member and which can be locked in any position by a tooth pushed upwards by a lock in the tubular member by entering a space between two teeth of a gear on the axle. The two bars are recessed by grooves in their sides facing each other which can be engaged by two coaxial pins in the axle, which are pressed into a pair of grooves by the same lock and can be pushed inwardly of the axle after unlocking.
