  • Publication number: 20240115147
Abstract: A system and method are provided for determining a pressure associated with a lumen of a body. A wireless sensor is positioned in the lumen of the body. The sensor comprises an LC resonant circuit having a resonant frequency configured to vary in response to changes in pressure in the lumen. One or more sensor calibration parameters are stored at an external base unit. The external based unit generates and transmits an energizing signal. A ring down response is received from the wireless sensor. The system and method determine the resonant frequency of the LC resonant circuit from the ring down response and calculate the pressure in the lumen from the resonant frequency of the LC resonant circuit utilizing the one or more sensor calibration parameters associated with the LC resonant circuit.

  • Publication number: 20210295408
Abstract: A data aggregation and evaluation tool for property evaluation is described. In an example implementation, the system may receive a first user input indicating a preference for a set of attributes via graphical user interface, generate a set of queries associated with the set of attributes, and provide the set of queries to the user via the graphical user interface. The system may receive a second user input to the set of queries and may determine a weight associated with an attribute based on the second input. The system may receive data describing an attribute value of the attribute for a property, score the property using the weight and the attribute value, and alter the graphical user interface based on the score.

  • Publication number: 20180035382
Abstract: A mobile user terminal and method for activating/deactivating geopositioning devices of the mobile user terminal in moving vehicles, the mobile user terminal comprising accelerometers but no gyroscopes. The method detects whether a geopositioning device is located in a moving vehicle by using data of acceleration signals extracted only from the accelerometers and metrics calculated from an estimated variation of angle between successive acceleration signals. The method further comprises identifying at least one, short-time or long-time, probe pattern related to the situation of the moving vehicle, the probe pattern using signals and measures exclusively derived from the tri-axial accelerometers, comprising the data of acceleration signals and the calculated metrics. If the situation corresponds to the mobile user terminal moving in the moving vehicle, the geopositioning device is activated.

  • Patent number: 6942038
Abstract: A drilling mud diverter and method of use for horizontal drilling operations wherein drilling muds are diverted to a single portal of the bore where the drilling muds are recovered for removal or reprocessing, the mud diverter having a diverter unit with a central cylindrical core with enlarged end caps and an inflatable bladder mounted on the core, the diverter unit having a bypass passage through the unit blocked by a pressure relief valve that allows drilling muds blocked by the diverter unit to pass through the unit only when a preset pressure is reached; the method of use including the procedure for installing the mud diverter into an enlarged bore using the drilling pipe and removing the mud diverter using the drilling pipe, cables or other alternative equipment.

  • Patent number: 5640447
Abstract: A debit calling label for allowing telephone charges to be credited against a prepaid account is disclosed. The debit calling label preferably includes a label, an account number printed on the label, and an adhesive secured between the label and a backing such that when the backing is removed, the label is adapted to be secured to an item. The debit calling label also preferably includes an additional label having a numeral representing the amount of time associated with the account code. The calling label and the number label are adapted to be used on items specifically manufactured for use with the labels. These items preferably have designated areas for securing the labels thereto and corresponding instructions concerning use of the debit label to place telephone calls against the prepaid calling credit account. In an alternative embodiment, the label includes the account code, the amount of time associated with the account code, and the instructions.

  • Patent number: 5629977
Abstract: A method and assembly for allowing prepaid telephone calling credit to be provided in conjunction with a greeting card. The greeting card assembly generally comprises a greeting card, an envelope having an inside pocket adapted to receive and hold the greeting card, and a unique visually discernible calling card access identifier. The access identifier designates a prepaid account having a predetermined amount of telephone calling credit against which telephone calls can be charged. In a preferred embodiment, the liner is attached to the envelope and the access identifier is affixed to the liner in the envelope. A section of the liner is removable and surrounds the access identifier to facilitate carrying of the access identifier apart from the envelope. Also in this embodiment, an opaque covering is placed over the access identifier prior to sale of the assembly to prevent misappropriation of the access identifier.
