  • Patent number: 9378652
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for musical learning and interaction. Embodiments include presenting a playable portion of a musical instrument at a user interface. The user interface includes a video layer. The video layer is configured to visually present one or more frames of video. The user interface also includes a virtual musical instrument or a playable portion of the virtual musical instrument. At least the playable portion of the virtual musical instrument is overlaid over a least a portion of the video layer, and is at least partially transparent. As such, the portion of the video layer over which the playable portion of the virtual musical instrument is overlaid shows through the virtual musical instrument.

  • Publication number: 20070042153
Abstract: Improved methods for manufacturing silicon carbide rings using chemical vapor deposition. Cylindrical tubes are used as deposition substrates and the resulting material deposited on the inside surface of cylindrical tubes or on the outside surface of cylindrical mandrels, or both, is sliced or cut into the desired ring size and shape. The resulting rings have a crystal growth that is oriented substantially planar to the finished article. The invention also relates to nitrogen doped silicon carbide material, as well as to silicon carbide structures having axes of grain growth substantially parallel to the plane of the structure and to each other, and having rotational orientation that is substantially random with respect to the axes of grain growth of the grains.

  • Patent number: 5201620
Abstract: A cutting tool holding assembly is arranged for rapid replacement of cutting tools on machine tools. The assembly includes an adaptor for locating a tool holder in a drive spindle. The adaptor has a base member which is secured in the spindle and a body member which is secured releasably to the base member. The tool holder is secured to the body member. The base member is secured in the base of a bore in the spindle and the body member is releasably secured against rotation relative to the spindle.

  • Patent number: 4444141
Abstract: A position indictor for an industrial sewing machine, particularly a programmable industrial sewing machine, in which an elongate slender member may be selectively extended through a tubular conduit to have an end of the member adjacent the work supporting bed so as to indicate to an operator the starting position for a work material from which stitching may initiate. The elongate slender member, which is best implemented by a wire, may also be used as an edge guide or a pivot point. Extension of the member through the flexible conduit may be initiated by an air cylinder or solenoid, and may be initiated by program control to take place when the sewing needle and the sewing machine presser foot are elevated.

  • Patent number: 4398482
Abstract: Stitch length stops for an industrial sewing machine which is implemented by a stop member having a slot therethrough and a finger projecting therefrom, which slot is clamped behind a sheet metal bracket that may be affixed to a sewing machine frame. The sheet metal bracket is fashioned with an aperture through which a screw may extend through the slot of the stop member and into a bracket having a threaded aperture so that the stop member may be compressed between the bracket and sheet metal member. The sheet metal member may be implemented by a belt guard.
