  • Publication number: 20220088498
Abstract: A telescopic mechanism including hollow telescopic blade segments with a threaded spindle having spindle threads within the telescopic blade segments. Nuts are configured to correspond and interface with the spindle, and a power mechanism is configured to spin the spindle. Each of the nuts respectively interfaces at the proximal portion of each of the hollow blade segments and the nuts have nut threads corresponding to the spindle threads. The nut threads allow back and forth movement over the spindle threads when the spindle is rotated; however, the nut threads will slide over the spindle threads if the distal telescopic blade segment is pushed above a given threshold force.

  • Patent number: 9779587
Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product to award one or more benchmark prizes in an online card game or hand. In certain embodiments, a controller automatically triggers awarding a first benchmark prize to at least one of one or more players or one or more game observers, based at least in part on an occurrence of a first benchmark event. The awarding occurs without any physical based-dealer taking time to payout the first benchmark prize, and thus, without slowing down the online game or hand that is being played.

  • Patent number: 9211474
Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product to assign player-entries in an online card game. The method commences by receiving preference parameters corresponding to a player, then receiving a player command corresponding to the player to fold out of a current hand of a particular game. For alacrity of play and for supporting a large number of concurrently open tables for an online player to play a large number of games, the method proceeds to identify an open table that satisfies player preference parameters, and wherein the open table is an open table (e.g., with fewer player-entries than the open table's capacity). The preferred game and/or the player's preferred seating arrangement can be determined by using a second preference parameter. The method can respond to a fold-out command by the player and can open a new table on the basis of the player's preference parameters.

  • Publication number: 20130109456
Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product to award a benchmark prize to a game participant in an online card game. The method commences by receiving an opt-in wager from a game participant to participate in one or more forms of parallel competition, then receiving a plurality of cards corresponding to a hand for a player-entry. The method continues by identifying a benchmark related to the online card game and awarding the benchmark prize to the game participant based on the benchmark. Benchmarks comprise a hand rank or an event during a game. Some techniques include automatic fold-out whereby a profitability threshold of a current hand or player preferences on hand strength are used in making the decision to perform a fold-out command based on a comparison of the current hand to a calculated current hand profitability threshold. If the player folds-out, then the system can automatically assign the player-entry of the player to a new table.

  • Publication number: 20120217622
Abstract: Imparting a controlled amount of stress in an assembly comprising a semiconductor circuit on a substrate comprises depositing a tensile stressed metal film stressor layer onto the surface of the circuit. Establishing a fracture region below electrically active regions of the circuit, adhering a foil handle to the assembly and pulling it away from the assembly induces mechanical fracture in the fracture region below the electrically active regions. The mechanical fracture propagates parallel and laterally to the surface of the substrate and below the circuit to produce a thin flexible circuit on a residual substrate. The circuit is under compressive strain that is changed by modifying the stressor layer or residual substrate. Individualized circuits or a circuit may also be defined above the fracture by dividing the circuit into preselected regions with surrounding trenches before fracture. We harvest the circuit(s) by pulling the foil handle away from the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070254438
Abstract: A method for forming a transistor. A semiconductor substrate is provided. The semiconductor substrate is patterned to provide a first body edge. A first gate structure of a first fermi level is provided adjacent the first body edge. The semiconductor substrate is patterned to provide a second body edge. The first and second body edges of the semiconductor substrate define a transistor body. A second gate structure of a second fermi level is provided adjacent the second body edge. A substantially uniform dopant concentration density is formed throughout the transistor body.

  • Publication number: 20070249133
Abstract: A method of forming a conductive spacer on a semiconductor device. The method includes depositing a polysilicon layer on the semiconductor device, selectively implanting dopant ions in the polysilicon layer on a first side of a transistor region of the semiconductor device to define a conductive spacer area, and removing the polysilicon layer except for the conductive spacer area. Optionally, a silicidation process can be performed on the conductive spacer area so that the conductive spacer is made up of metal silicide.

  • Publication number: 20070164359
Abstract: An area-efficient gated diode includes a semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type, an active region of a second conductivity type formed in the semiconductor layer proximate an upper surface of the semiconductor layer, and at least one trench electrode extending substantially vertically through the active region and at least partially into the semiconductor layer. A first terminal of the gated diode is electrically connected to the trench electrode, and at least a second terminal is electrically connected to the active region. The gated diode is operative in one of at least a first mode and a second mode as a function of a voltage potential applied between the first and second terminals. The first mode is characterized by the creation of an inversion layer in the semiconductor layer substantially surrounding the trench electrode.

  • Publication number: 20070158743
Abstract: The present invention provides a semiconducting device structure including a thin SOI region, wherein the SOI device is formed with an optional single thin diffusion, i.e., offset, spacer and a single diffusion implant. The device silicon thickness is thin enough to permit the diffusion implants to abut the buried insulator but thick enough to form a contacting silicide. Stress layer liner films are used both over nFET and pFET device regions to enhance performance.
