  • Patent number: 11912110
Abstract: A vehicular slider window assembly includes a movable window panel that is movable along rails at an opening of a fixed window panel. A perimeter seal is disposed at a surface of the fixed window panel and circumscribes the opening and is configured to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in a closed position. The perimeter seal includes elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions, with adjacent end regions of attachment elements of the sealing portions being spaced from one another at the respective corner regions such that there is a gap between the adjacent end regions. With the attachment elements attached at the surface of the fixed window panel, a sealant is dispensed into the gaps via passageways to seal the corner regions of the perimeter seal at the fixed window panel.

  • Publication number: 20220089008
Abstract: A vehicular slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable along an upper rail and a lower rail at the at least one fixed window panel between a closed position and an opened position. The upper rail includes a channel, and a filler is disposed in the channel of the upper rail. The filler includes a filler body having opposite side walls and at least one obliquely angled end, and the filler includes compressible and flexible and deformable elements along respective ones of the side walls. The obliquely angled end or ends of the filler provide an indication as to whether the filler is disposed in the channel of the upper rail at the correct orientation relative to the upper rail or the incorrect orientation relative to the upper rail.

  • Patent number: 10843215
Abstract: A method of applying a film to upper and lower appliques of a rear slider window assembly includes providing a support structure and positioning a rear slider window assembly at the support structure, with the rear slider window assembly including spaced apart fixed window panels, upper and lower appliques extending between the spaced apart fixed window panels, and a frame portion attached at the fixed window panels and appliques. An applicator includes first and second applicating devices for dispensing a strip of film onto a respective applique. The applicator is moved to a starting position where a roller of each applicating device presses an end region of the film onto the respective applique, and then is moved along the appliques with the rollers rolling along the respective appliques to press the film onto the appliques. The film strips are cut and pressed onto the respective appliques.
