    Abstract: A solenoid actuated transmission shifting apparatus is provided for temporary or permanent installation in automobiles with conventional, H-pattern-type manual transmissions or automatic transmissions and also for use with motorcycle transmissions. The shifting apparatus allows for both upshifting and downshifting through the transmission gears by pressing pushbuttons mounted on the steering wheel, handlebar or dashboard.
