Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for portable and compact nitric oxide (NO) generation that can be embedded into other therapeutic devices or used alone. In some embodiments, an ambulatory NO generation system can be comprised of a controller and disposable cartridge. The cartridge can contain filters and scavengers for preparing the gas used for NO generation and for scrubbing output gases prior to patient inhalation. The system can utilize an oxygen concentrator to increase nitric oxide production and compliment oxygen generator activity as an independent device. The system can also include a high voltage electrode assembly that is easily assembled and installed. Various nitric oxide delivery methods are provided, including the use of a nasal cannula.

Abstract: Provided are chimeric Hemiptera-active insecticidal toxin proteins comprising a Bt toxin peptide with activity against Hemiptera, a peptide multimer or fusion protein containing such peptide which binds to the gut of sap-sucking insects, preferably the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri. This insect carries a bacterium associated with Huanlongbing disease or citrus greening and damages citrus crops. When bound, this peptide mediates the binding of the chimeric insecticidal protein to the target insect gut. Also described are coding sequences, vectors, and transgenic plants genetically modified to contain and express such insecticidal proteins. Other delivery mechanisms such as use of phloem-inhabiting bacteria, are also contemplated. Thus, the use of these toxins reduces economic loss due to feeding by the target insect and also reduces loss due to plant diseases spread by the target insect.

Abstract: An anthology and archiving platform and display system for collectibles is disclosed that includes: at least one imaged and archived, collectible, at least one piece of identifying, or valuation information associated with the at least one collectible, a digital platform system, wherein the system: associates the archived or imaged collectible with the piece of information associated with the collectible, actively identifies at least one piece of additional information associated with the collectible, produces a digital display album, wherein the album is uniquely designed for that collectible, wherein the image and the associated information are displayed. Corresponding methods of using the platform and display system are also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for acquiring and managing collectibles is disclosed and described herein that may include a global collectibles database, a collectibles catalog, and a comparison module. The global collectibles database includes about collectibles for sale from at least two different vendors, auction sites, dealers, trade shows or a combination thereof. The collectibles catalog includes information about known collectibles in existence. The comparison module may be used to compare collectibles for sale with known collectibles and/or collectibles of a collector and available collectibles for sale.

Abstract: A sports collectibles and commodities game is described that includes at least one generated image of a collectible item, wherein the generated image comprises an area that is strategically incomplete; and an interface that allows a player to describe, supplement or complete the image. Methods of playing a sports collectibles and commodities game are also disclosed that includes: connecting to the sports and commodities game through a website, webpage, application or “app”, social media interface or a combination thereof, selecting the player option, viewing at least one generated image of a collectible item, wherein the generated image comprises an area that is strategically incomplete; and using an interface that allows a player to describe, supplement or complete the image to provide at least one descriptive piece of information related to the generated image.

Abstract: A method of improving and extending the gripping action of denture by applying an adhesive compound includes applying a liquid denture adhesive to one or more locations on the dentures; wetting the dentures with water; and applying a powder denture adhesive onto at least the liquid denture adhesive in an amount about equal to an amount of the liquid denture adhesive to form the adhesive compound on the dentures in a semi-liquid form sufficient to enhance a gripping effect of the dentures in a mouth of a user.

Abstract: An adaptable, multi-purpose boat includes a rigid hull and a buoyant sponson removably connected to the rigid hull. The rigid hull includes a plurality of rigid ribs that are each constructed from a pair of sidewall portions and a ‘V’ angled keel portion, and are connected to form sides, a keel, and a ‘V’ angled bottom interposed between the sides and the keel. The plurality of rigid ribs includes a plurality of hull connectors arranged in a predetermined organized pattern, such that a variety of external components may be removably fastened to the boat using at least one of the plurality of hull connectors. As a result, the boat is repeatedly reconfigurable to adapt to multiple post-fabrication purposes.

Abstract: Non-asbestos flexible sheet material suitable for use in gaskets (e.g., automobile exhaust manifold gaskets) operating at high temperature (e.g., 500.degree.-700.degree. C.) is made by impregnating a non-woven tissue of glass or like fiber stable at 700.degree. C. with an aqueous slurry of inorganic filler, particularly a clay, said aqueous slurry including a dispersed elastomeric binder (e.g., an acrylic) and a dispersed or dissolved binder (e.g., colloidal silica) which is essentially inorganic and is effective above 300.degree. C. The impregnated tissue is then dried.

Abstract: A package is designed for a container having a raised bead ring on a top end and a dispensing valve within and protruding up from the ring; a cover cap for the dispensing valve and the bead ring. The package includes a support body made of cardboard foldable to make two layer structures having a pair of expand faces, a flat section and a support flange. The two layers of support flange contacts each other and is secured together. The support body and support flange have an aperture to receive the top end of the container.
