Patent number: 9120593Abstract: A specialized box with integrated dividers is suitable for transporting multiple rectangular products, such as set top boxes. The box is formed of a single sheet of material, scored in six panels so that a leading panel forms a partition around which the other panels are folded and secured, with the final panel partially overlapping the second panel to form a joined side of the box. An insert with two walls, formed of a single sheet of material, can be folded into a rectangular shape and inserted in the box to create walls between the partition and each parallel side of the box. Cushioning pads can be attached to bottom flaps of the box. When flat, multiple boxes can be compactly stored or transported on a pallet. When folded into a cube, the box holds up to four rectangular products in four separate, protected compartments within the box.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2013Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: Summit Container CorporationInventors: Jesse Joe Mena, Daniel Kenneth Reichenberg, Leigh Ann Kingman, David G. Publication number: 20040076347Abstract: A multi-purpose window bag having multiple layers includes a window, an outer surface and an inner surface. The bag is formed from a multi-ply blank having an interior polymeric layer and one or more outer layers. The outer layers are typically formed from paper or paper like material and have a window cut through the outer layers. First, the outer layers are adhered to one another and then the window is cut through the adhered outer layers. Next, a skip laminator is used to apply adhesive to the interior surface of the adhered outer layers, except for the window. Finally, the polymeric interior layer is adhered to the outer layers. Preferably, the interior layer is transparent or translucent. The multi-ply is formed into closed bottom bag with the polymeric interior layer fully lining the inside of the bag.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2003Publication date: April 22, 2004Applicant: Mid-America Packaging, LLCInventor: David G. Patent number: 4652242Abstract: A system for psychologically testing visually impaired or reading impaired persons has a series of questions presented in a prerecorded audible form. An answer sheet having regions in which responses to each question may be recorded has associated with each of the regions a marker which may be removed, moved, or physically modified to record a desired response to each question. The regions for the recording of responses are associated with a tactilely locatable portion on each answer sheet which enables the regions to be easily located by touch, with each marker preferably being a tactilely locatable element which is similarly easily located by touch.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1985Date of Patent: March 24, 1987Inventor: David G. Patent number: 4394742Abstract: An internal combustion engine analyzer provides both data acquisition and data processing and includes an analog waveform analysis subsystem together with a general purpose background system wherein appropriate power distribution is provided for the system as a whole and peripheral equipment such as a printer, keyboard and an analog/digital CRT is also provided. The input signals to be analyzed are waveforms generally associated with internal combustion engines and peripheral equipment. Exemplary waveforms are the primary and secondary ignition waveforms. The waveforms are attenuated to reasonable levels and multiplexed to analog circuitry which serves to measure waveform magnitude at one or more sampling points along the length of the wave and to also measure the manner in which the characteristics of the waveform change. The analog measurements are digitized and coupled to a processor which in turn controls the operation of the analog circuitry.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1980Date of Patent: July 19, 1983Assignee: FMC CorporationInventors: Marvin R. Patent number: 4086824Abstract: A dual braking arrangement is provided for a vehicle whereby setting the hand brake will not affect the positioning of the foot-brake pedal and conversely the actuation of the foot-brake pedal will not affect the positioning of the hand-brake lever. A split linkage is provided whereby the brake actuator is splined to a dual operative lever, such that actuation of the dual operative lever by either the linkage connected to the hand-brake lever or the linkage connected to the foot-brake pedal, will actuate the brake.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1977Date of Patent: May 2, 1978Assignee: Caterpillar Tractor Co.Inventor: David G. Patent number: 4076329Abstract: A brake modulation valve includes a spool reciprocable in a body to provide application and release of the brakes of a vehicle through movement of a pedal, the movement of the pedal providing application of the brakes being resisted by resilient means in the form of primary, secondary and tertiary springs brought into play in series fashion so that the operator of the pedal is aware of varying pedal feel during application of the brakes.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1977Date of Patent: February 28, 1978Assignee: Caterpillar Tractor Co.Inventors: David G. Johnson, James P. Mueller

Patent number: 4063068Abstract: A portable food serving receptacle capable of heating chilled or frozen food to cooking or serving temperatures and automatically maintaining food at serving temperature. The receptacle consists of thin metallic walls and utilizes a flexible heating element of electrical and thermal insulating material. The heating element is adhered to the metallic walls of an inner dish of the receptacle. The insulating material of the heating element forms a laminated structure in which the electrical resistor is embedded. The walls of the receptacle have a substantially higher thermal conductivity than the laminate. The rate of heat flow from the heating element to the interface of the food and metallic walls of the receptacle is controlled by the thermal insulating characteristics of the laminate so that gradients of heat entering any given point of the food are substantially equal and are maintained at temperature levels below the scorching temperature of the food.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1976Date of Patent: December 13, 1977Assignee: Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing CompanyInventors: David G. Patent number: 3939916Abstract: The apparatus for cleaning tuberous plants of this invention comprises a frame, a plurality of digging wheels fastened on the lowermost side of a suitable horizontal framing member at the forwardmost terminal end of the frame, a disk-renk, a belt-renk subassembly, and a discharging subassembly. The disk-renk may include a multiplicity of pentagonally shaped plates fastened on a suitable shaft. The belt-renk subassembly may include a elevating conveyer operable to elevate and to move rearwardly tubers discharged from the disk-renk and a belt-renk disposed parallel to, and substantially beneath, the elevating conveyer, and a upwardly inclined chain conveyer-like belt inclined from its forwardmost terminal end to its rearwardmost terminal end. The chain conveyer-like belt is driven in an upwardly inclined, rearward direction.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1972Date of Patent: February 24, 1976Inventors: Delwin G. Woerman, David G.
