    Abstract: A rising crank bait lure includes a body, a forward sloping lip, at least one hook, and a line loop. The body preferably has the shape of a minnow, but could be shaped as any other fish. The body may be either a single piece or a multiple piece design. The forward sloping lip may be attached to a front of the body, to a top of the body at substantially a front thereof, or to a bottom of the body at substantially a front thereof. The extended end of the lip is preferably rounded to decrease drag. The line loop extends from a front of the body for attachment of a fishing line. At least one hook is attached to a bottom of the body. The body is preferably painted to resemble a fish.

    Abstract: A safety snap for restraining livestock that is releasable upon the application of a selected force by the animal to minimize the possibility and severity of injury to the animal and handler. A lead rope is attached to the safety snap, which is clasped to the halter. Application of a selected amount of force by the animal breaks a shear pin, unlatching the safety snap to release the lead rope. The safety snap remains attached to the halter. A reservoir in the safety snap contains replacement shear pins.
