  • Publication number: 20230066940
Abstract: A system includes a laminated glass comprising a protective layer disposed between two sheets of glass. The system includes a resistive conductive coating made of a first electrically conducting material disposed on a surface of one of the two sheets of glass facing the protective layer. The system includes a first set of electrodes made of a second electrically conducting material disposed on the resistive conductive coating. The system includes a second set of electrodes made of a third electrically conducting material disposed on the first set of electrodes. The second set of electrodes is electrically connected to the first set of electrodes, respectively. The third electrically conducting material of the second set of electrodes is more ductile than the second electrically conducting material of the first set of electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20200369117
Abstract: A transparent sheet is provided, and includes a heatable element arranged to transfer heat energy to the transparent sheet, a strain gage transducer disposed on the transparent sheet, and a temperature sensor disposed on the transparent sheet. A controller is in communication with the strain gage transducer and the temperature sensor, and is operably connected to the heatable element. The controller is operative to control the heatable element based upon signal inputs from the strain gage and the temperature sensor.

  • Publication number: 20200258478
Abstract: A display assembly includes a first rigid layer, a first adhesive layer disposed adjacent to the first rigid layer, a second rigid layer, a second adhesive layer disposed adjacent to the second rigid layer, a display screen disposed between the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer, the display screen having a first side facing an exterior of the display assembly and a second side facing an interior of the display assembly, and a controller that is in communication with the display screen to generate a pattern on the display screen visible from the exterior of the display assembly.

  • Patent number: 10252601
Abstract: A method of fabricating a laminated glass panel assembly having inner and outer glass layers includes masking a designated area of the inner glass layer to define an index feature and printing a first blackout layer onto the inner glass layer such that the first blackout layer is not present on the index feature. The method may include unmasking the index feature after printing the first blackout layer, then printing a second blackout layer onto a major surface of the outer glass layer. The major surface overlaps or covers the index feature such that the index feature is not visible to a human observer through the outer glass layer, but is detectable through the outer glass layer using a controller and machine vision logic. A glass panel assembly having the index feature is also described herein, as is a system for making the glass panel assembly.
