  • Patent number: 10437381
Abstract: Described herein is a car entertainment and navigation system that includes a user interface controller, a detecting circuit, and a selection circuit. The detecting circuit includes a selection circuit, capacitance-sensing circuitry to determine a location of a touch proximate to one or more electrodes of the touch screen display based on capacitance measurements of a plurality of electrodes of the touch screen made during a first mode of operation of the detecting circuit, and user-detecting circuitry to determine a location of a user corresponding to the touch based on signal measurements of a capacitively-coupled signal at the one or more electrodes made during a second mode of operation of the detecting circuit. The selection circuit is configurable to selectively couple the capacitance-sensing circuitry to the plurality of electrodes during the first mode and selectively coupling the user-detecting circuitry to the one or more electrodes during the second mode.

  • Publication number: 20190242190
Abstract: An over-bit backreamer. The backreamer is configured to be placed over a bit without detaching the bit from a drill string associated with a pilot bore. The backreamer has an internal surface that conforms to a steering surface of the bit. Rotation is transferred from the bit to the backreamer at the internal surface. The backreamer further defines a flange which interacts with a feature, such as a heel, on the bit. The flange and heel form a shoulder which transfers pullback force to the bit. The backreamer comprises a pullback eye that pulls a product pipe back through the borehole.

  • Patent number: 10352975
Abstract: A contact's interaction with a sensing array is subject to several external and internal stimuli which may impact a processing unit's confidence in the characteristics of that interaction or the presence of the interaction itself. Fidelity of user action is greatly improved with a step-wise and holistic analysis of a contact on an array of capacitance sensors, which allows for repetition of certain steps of processing or the entire operation if threshold confidence levels are not achieved.
