Publication number: 20240017726Abstract: Example embodiments relate to lane adjustment techniques for slow lead agents. A vehicle computing system may use sensor data depicting the surrounding environment to detect when another vehicle is traveling in front of the vehicle at a speed that is less than a threshold minimum speed. If the other vehicle fails to increase speed above the minimum speed, the computing system may determine whether to change lanes to avoid the other vehicle based on speed data for other lanes. In some implementations, the computing system assigns penalties to lane segments surrounding the vehicle based on speed data for the different lane segments. For instance, the path finding system for the vehicle can use penalties and speed data to determine efficient routes that safely circumvent slow agents.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2022Publication date: January 18, 2024Inventors: Pablo Abad, Karen Rajen Parikh, Kang Li, David Garber, Tony Grue, Khawaja Waqee Khalid

Patent number: 11036356Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure relate to service-backed generation and management of digital ruled paper templates in an exemplary application/service such as a notetaking service. As an example, access to a user account of a notetaking service is detected. A digital context associated with the user account is evaluated. An evaluation of the digital context comprises identifying user identity data associated with the user account and analyzing domain specific data of the notetaking service that corresponds with the identified user identity data. The domain specific data may comprise data identifying a specific electronic notebook of the notetaking service. A customized listing of digital ruled paper templates is populated based on an evaluation of the digital context. The customized listing of digital ruled paper templates is transmitted to the client computing device, which surfaces the customized listing of digital ruled paper templates in a user interface of the notetaking service.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2017Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: David Garber, Andrew Casey, Christopher Clarke, Fanguang Kong

Patent number: 9710438Abstract: Architecture that facilitates offline/online interaction with online collaboration documents or pages such as for wikis and/or notebooks. More specifically, for every proto link employed in a page, a unique object ID is provided. The client, whether online or offline, uses the object ID as the page's object ID when a target page is created at the time of resolving the associated proto link (e.g., when a user clicks on a proto link to navigate to the proto page). When an offline client connects to an online state, changes are synchronized (synced). All the pages created offline from the same proto link will have the same object ID and the content of the pages are then synced correctly under the same page ID and name.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2013Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Sripriya P.
