  • Publication number: 20230345882
Abstract: A portable electric pruning shears including: a longitudinal body intended to be held by one hand of a user, called the holding hand, a cutting tool arranged at a distal end of the body, an electric motor for operating the cutting tool, and a security system provided to protect the user; wherein the security system includes: an emitter for emitting at least one electromagnetic wave and a receiver for receiving at least one electromagnetic wave emitted by the emitter, one of which is embedded by said portable electric pruning shears and the other one of which is intended to be worn by the other hand of the user, called the free hand, and a control unit for acting on the operating of the cutting tool as a function of the wave(s) received by the receiver.

  • Patent number: 7913835
Abstract: Conveyor rolls used in high temperature applications, and an end cap assembly for such rolls. The conveyor roll comprises a ceramic spool, an end cap and a tolerance ring. The end cap contains a metal ferrule and has an internal circumference adapted to fit over an end of the ceramic spool. A tolerance ring is interposed between each end of the ceramic spool and the end cap. The tolerance ring is composed of resilient metal having a plurality of circumferentially arranged corrugations. The conveyor roll can resist temporary overheating or blockage without damage.

  • Patent number: 5906567
Abstract: A roller assembly for the high-temperature transport of articles, including a ceramic roller with a longitudinal axis and two ends; at least one generally cylindrical metal end cap at one or both ends of the roller, and means arranged between the roller end and the end cap for rotationally interconnecting the end cap and the roller (2), axially securing the end cap (4) to the roller (2), and centring the roller (2) relative to the end cap (4). The means (10) for centring the roller relative to the end cap (4) are separate from the means (12) for rotationally interconnecting the end cap and the roller (2) and for axially securing the end cap (4) to the roller (2). The means (10) for centring the roller relative to the end cap (4) may consist of bimetallic members (14) or longitudinal or radial resilient members (16).

  • Patent number: 5484371
Abstract: A ceramic roller, including of a shell and a shaft passing through the shell characterized by at least one ball-and-socket joint between the shell and the shaft. At least one end cap is placed at an end of the shell and mounted on the shaft. A ball-and-socket joint is provided between the shell and the end caps or between the shaft and the end caps. The ball-and-socket joint is preferably obtained by the provision of an annular collar having a rounded cross section mounted between the truncated conical bearing surface of the shell and the end caps.
