  • Publication number: 20150057074
Abstract: A set of projected performance data for an upcoming performance of real-world athletes is used to create a projected point value corresponding to the projected performance of each real-world athlete. A user of a client device selects one or more athletes that the user deems most likely to improve on their projected points. When the real-world games begin, a difference between the projected fantasy-sports point totals (which may be equalized by providing a handicap) is used to declare a winner of the fantasy-sports game.

  • Patent number: 8821231
Abstract: Methods and system include obtaining attributes of athletic players from one or more sources. The attributes define statistics of the athletic players. Minimum requirements are determined for teams organized in a group. A listing is generated for each team in the group. The listing includes a plurality of entries wherein each entry is configured to present attributes of an athletic player or a team that is part of the group. Select ones of the plurality of entries in the listing are static and select ones of the entries are dynamic. The entries that are static are used to provide minimum requirements defined for each team in the group and the entries that are dynamic are used to provide attributes of the teams or the athletic players. The dynamic entries are adjusted during a drafting process to provide current status of the teams and the athletic players.

  • Patent number: 8475249
Abstract: Methods and system for presenting a plurality of attributes of a plurality of players from a plurality of teams that are part of a league includes obtaining a plurality of attributes of the plurality of players and the plurality of teams. The plurality of attributes of the plurality of the players and of the teams is populated in one or more databases along with any updates to these attributes. The databases are queried to retrieve updated plurality of attributes of the plurality of players and the plurality of teams. A roster grid is generated for the plurality of teams for rendering at a client in substantial real time. The roster grid displays the updated status of the plurality of attributes of the plurality of players and the plurality of teams simultaneously in a clean, concise and effective manner.

  • Patent number: 6700531
Abstract: An automotive radar test system includes circuitry for multiple down and up conversions of a signal from the automotive radar. Conditioning circuitry delays an intermediate frequency signal (IF2) obtained after a second down conversion to simulate the delay of a return signal from an object located a particular distance from the automotive radar, and to attenuate the IF2 signal to simulate variable target sizes, and to generate a Doppler shift in the IF2 signal to simulate target speed. The conditioned signal is up-converted and transmitted back to the automotive radar system to determine if the automotive radar provides accurate readings for distance, size and speed. The radar test system further couples the second IF signal to a spectrum analyzer to determine if the automotive radar is operating in the desired bandwidth and to a power meter to determine if the automotive radar is transmitting at a desired power level.

  • Publication number: 20040004527
Abstract: An inductor coil is made with winding turns in a conical shape, tapered from a very small diameter and gradually increasing. The core of the coil is composed of a dielectric material with a colloidal suspension of magnetic particles, i.e. poly-iron. A heatsink, such as a wire or ceramic rod, is partially embedded in the core. The heatsink functions to remove heat from the core, thereby reducing the temperature rise during inductor operation. The reduction in temperature rise permits operation at currents above 1.0 amp while preserving high-frequency performance.

  • Publication number: 20020061862
Abstract: The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising as an active ingredient a pharmaceutical agent comprising a DNA sequence that codes for a protein which possesses the biological activity of inducible nitrogen monoxide synthase (iNOS) and eukaryotic regulation elements, wherein the eukaryotic regulation elements result in the expression of said DNA sequence in eukaryotic cells, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The pharmaceutical agent can be complexed to liposomes.

  • Patent number: 6103230
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of promoting the closure of a wound in a patient. This method involves transferring exogenous iNOS to the region of the wound whereby a product of iNOS is produced in the region of the wound to promote the closure of the wound. The present invention also provides a method of transplanting a graft into a patient, which method involves transferring a vector comprising an iNOS expression cassette to cells associated with the graft and surgically incorporating the graft tissue into the patient. Upon expression of iNOS within the patient, a product of iNOS is produced in the region of the graft to attenuate vasculopathy in the region of the graft.
