  • Publication number: 20250061086
Abstract: Verifying that data has been correctly replicated to a replication target, including: replicating a dataset stored at a first computing system to a second computing system; and determining, based at least on a comparison of a first hash and a second hash, validity of the dataset stored at the second computing system, wherein the first hash is generated by applying a hash function to a copy of the dataset that is stored at the first computing system and the second hash is generated by applying the hash function to a copy of the dataset that is stored at the second computing system.

  • Publication number: 20250031926
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner including a top housing, a base, a suction source configured to generate a suction airflow, a tank positioned between the top housing and the base, and an actuator. The tank is configured to receive debris via the suction airflow. The tank includes an opening formed in an outer surface to the tank and a lid. The opening enables a user to provide debris directly into the tank, bypassing the suction airflow. The lid is moveable between a closed position where the lid fluidly seals the opening, and an open position where the opening fluidly connects an inner volume of the tank and a surrounding environment. The actuator is coupled to the tank and transitions the lid between the open position and the closed position.

  • Patent number: 12210762
Abstract: Transitioning between replication sources for data replication operations, including: delaying a transition from using a first data repository as a source for data replication to using a second data repository as the source for data replication after detecting that one or more storage operations directed to the first data repository have not been replicated to the second data repository; and promoting the second data repository as the source for data replication such that storage operations received after completing the transition are directed to the second data repository.

  • Publication number: 20240233695
Abstract: A standalone gaming audio interface device offers an all-in-one solution for simultaneously connecting to multiple PCs by using two 2×USB connections as well as an optical connection and can send and receive multiple stereo audio streams with multiple audio routing configurations so that a user can select from which PC the specific audio sources can be sent and received. The device utilizes an integrated solution for enhanced audio for headphones and headset mic, as well as an onboard digital signal processor for equalization, noise gate, compression, de-essing, high-pass filter, reverb, echo/delay, pitch, and gender effects.

  • Patent number: 10007754
Abstract: The invention provides an improved method for obtaining information about DNA analysis of samples of uncertain origin by establishing the likelihood that they arose in certain manners compared with other possible manners. In this way all of the analysis information is taken into account and likelihood ratios are provided to express the results. The invention is particularly useful in analyzing small DNA samples or DNA samples where the contribution from one or more sources is small.

  • Patent number: 9288444
Abstract: A system for delivering a video signal associated with an access request, wherein the system includes: a trigger module configured to detect a trigger event associated with the access request; a video module configured to access a video signal related to the trigger event; and a control module configured to control the video module to access the video signal based on the trigger event and for outputting the accessed video signal. A corresponding method for delivering a video signal associated with an access request, wherein the method includes: detecting a trigger event associated with the access request at a video device; accessing a video signal related to the trigger event; and displaying the video signal via the video device.

  • Publication number: 20150184117
Abstract: A device for the accelerated aging of wine consisting of a low direct-current voltage applied to inert electrodes is described herein. The device improves the taste of many wines by accelerating the natural aging process which is primarily a free-radical-induced reaction involving the polymerization and precipitation of polyphenols such as tannins, thus reducing the astringency and improving the taste of many full bodied wines. The device can be miniaturized for use with single servings or scaled up to be applied to large commercial batches. The device has the added feature of being able to reduce the sulfite content of some wines, reducing foul tastes caused by free sulfur dioxide and possibly reducing negative reactions to sulfite for some users of wine.

  • Patent number: 9015175
Abstract: A system and method for filtering an already obtained information resource (“document”) for display is described, including identifying a target portion of the information resource; dividing the data of the target portion into elements of a set; receiving one or more search requests as a filter specification; interpreting the filter specification as a Boolean logic expression; evaluating the elements of the set based on the Boolean logic expression, in an ongoing manner, each time the filter specification is entered or modified; and dynamically re-rendering the display, upon each such entry or modification of the filter specification, with all elements not matching the logic expression removed from the display of the target portion, providing the user with a “shrinking document” more likely to contain just the information being looked for.

  • Patent number: 8711002
Abstract: A subsea control module has a casing inside which there is at least one pair of electrodes, there being electronic means connected with the electrodes of the or each pair for monitoring at least one electrical characteristic between the electrodes as a result of a fluid to which the electrodes are exposed. This can include, for example, a change due to an ingress of seawater and/or an ingress of hydraulic fluid into the interior of the casing. The or each pair of electrodes include an array in which each electrode of the pair has finger portions interleaved with finger portions of the other electrode.
