Abstract: A presence detection system has at least one presence sensing monitor. The presence sensing monitor has a motion sensor detecting moving objects in an area being monitored by the presence detection system. A thermal image sensor provides a thermal image of the area being monitored by the presence detection system. A processor receives and analyzes signals from the motion sensor and the thermal image sensor to determine a presence of an individual in the area being monitored. The presence sensing monitor has a transmitter. The presence detection system has a monitoring and reporting device wirelessly coupled to the presence sensing monitor.

Abstract: A method comprises maintaining a data store of meta-data for a plurality of other data stores. The meta-data data store includes a plurality of meta-data data elements. Each of the meta-data data elements corresponds to a respective one of a plurality of data stores on a first network element. Meta-data of the meta-data data store of the first network element is sent to a second network element. To synchronize the meta-data of one of the plurality of data stores, the meta-data data element of the meta-data data store that corresponds to that one of the plurality of data stores is synchronized between the first network element and the second network element. The synchronizing of the meta-data data element is independent of synchronizing of at least one of the plurality of data stores.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a synchronizing data set are described. The method includes receiving a synchronization command by a SyncML complaint device, accessing a data set associated with the SyncML complaint device, filtering the data set in a source adapter to generate a synchronization data set and communicating the synchronization data set to a SyncML compliant synchronization engine.
