  • Publication number: 20240331213
Abstract: A method for ascertaining a descriptor image for an image of an object. The method includes training, for each of a plurality of object classes, a respective machine learning model to map images of objects of the object class to descriptor images and storing reference descriptors output by the machine learning model for one or more objects of the object class; receiving an image of an object; generating, for each object class, a respective descriptor image for the object by mapping the received image to a descriptor image using the machine learning model trained for the object class; evaluating, for each object class, the distance between the reference descriptors stored for the object class and the descriptors of the descriptor image generated for the object class; and assigning the descriptor image to the object as the descriptor image of the object generated for an object class based on the distance.

  • Publication number: 20240304927
Abstract: Described herein are swappable battery modules comprising immersion-thermally controlled prismatic battery cells and methods of operating thereof. A method comprises positioning a swappable battery module on an external charger comprising charger fluidic ports and sliding the swappable battery module to the charger fluidic ports until these charger's ports are fluidically coupled with the module's fluidic ports. Specifically, the external charger comprises an enclosure and a module support rail slidably coupling the swappable battery module and the enclosure. The module support rail comprises a rail base, a first slider, a second slider, and a lever-based unit, interconnecting the rail base and both sliders. The rail base is fixed to the enclosure, while the second slider is detachably coupled to the module. The two sliders move at different speeds or at the same speed relative to the charger base depending on proximity of the first end plate to the charger base.

  • Patent number: 8660988
Abstract: A method for updating a block on disk is provided. The method involves one or more clients committing log records to queues corresponding to blocks. The method further involves checkpointing, which includes obtaining a flushing lock on the queue by a client, receiving log records from the queue, applying the log records to a block on disk, and deleting the log records from the queue. A block on disk may be updated by first applying the log records from a queue to a locally cached version of the block corresponding to the queue. The locally cached version may then be stored on the disk replacing the original block on disk or being stored as a new version of the original block.

  • Publication number: 20070248445
Abstract: An interface between a hydraulic power system and an hydraulically actuated engagement member includes a first portion that is pivotally coupled to a second portion, and has an inlet capable of being coupled to the power system. The second portion is fixedly attached to an attachment bracket capable of interfacing with an attachment. The first portion has a path to provide oil to the second portion, which in turn provides oil from the first portion to the attachment bracket. The attachment bracket includes a housing that accepts an engagement member capable of being hydraulically actuated to secure or release the attachment with respect to the power machine.

  • Patent number: 5563349
Abstract: Disclosed is a diametral extensometer device useful for measuring diametral changes in a valve stem caused by axial loads on the valve stem used in a motor operated valve assembly. The device is useful in the field of valve diagnostics. The diametral extensometer is comprised of a semi-circular clamp member spaced from and partially surrounding the outer periphery of the valve stem. The clamp member has a reference pad that is adjustable radially with respect to the valve stem and a sensor pad having a sensor capable of measuring diametral changes in the valve stem and generating an electrical signal indicative of those changes. A stabilizer pad provides stability to the clamp member during installation of the clamp member and during movements of the valve stem. Non-stick surfaces are provided for smooth operation, and point contact with the valve stem eliminates errors associated with rocking of the traditional V-groove contacts.
