  • Patent number: 7217859
Abstract: The present invention provides recombinant promoters that drive tissue-specific expression, and transgenes comprising such recombinant promoters. Specifically, the invention provides transgenes comprising a recombinant promoter that drives tissue-specific expression of a heterologous nucleic acid molecule in a floral organ. The invention also provides methods for using such transgenes to produce a protein in a plant host cell or transgenic plant. The invention further provides methods for producing a transgenic plant that produces, for example, longer-lasting flowers, better fragrance, or better or longer-lasting color as compared to a wild type plant.

  • Publication number: 20060172266
Abstract: A touch sensitive display device is described. The device has a touch screen and an overlay. The touch screen has a plurality of data entry locations. The overlay has a guide portion and a support portion. The guide portion has one or more apertures and one or more tactile markers, where each of the tactile markers is adjacent to one of the one or more apertures and corresponds to one of the plurality of distinct data entry locations on the touch screen. The support portion if used to retain the guide portion over the touch screen such that each of the one or more guide apertures is in registration with one of the plurality of distinct data entry locations.

  • Patent number: 4301473
Abstract: The resolution of relatively low resolution type information signals is enhanced by inserting black level signals between adjacent picture elements at predetermined positions in each odd horizontal scanning line, and inserting black level signals between adjacent picture elements at different predetermined positions in even horizontal scanning lines. The black level signals are inserted by extinguishing a CRT beam in accordance with phase displaced clock signal trains, preferably phase displaced by 180.degree..
